BRO NOW THIS IS WHAT WE CALL A REDEMPTION ARC DONE RIGHT OMG

I’m loving this for Endeavor??? I think he’s a really interesting character and honestly I was a little worried about how they were going to go about his redemption arc because things like this are so hard to tackle without putting the abused in the wrong somehow but I love how this arc has expanded on how Shouto, Fuyumi, and Natsuo all react differently to Endeavor’s..... endeavors to make them a family again: Fuyumi doing what she has to to bring her family together again, Shouto completely shutting him out but with that almost unwanted desire to forgive him, and Natsuo not wanting to forgive him at all due to what he did to Touya (WHICH WOAH,,,, PLEASE TELL ME THEYRE GOING INTO THAT)

I think this was the best thing Enji could’ve done for his family, and I’m really interested to see how it ends up panning out (Plus, Mama Todoroki coming back???? Yes sir). You can tell that Endeavor has thought a lot about this and genuinely wants to make up for what he’s done, that his efforts are out of love for his family, not any self-serving need, and I really appreciate that. Also that he knows that there’s a chance Shouto and Natsuo may never forgive him but he’s not going to give up on trying to do the right thing.

So nice work Horikoshi, on this realistic and in-depth redemption arc :))

Okay. Okay real talk here, just for a moment.

“Being born quirkless in a world where most everyone has a quirk of some kind” is a pretty solid premise. Gives us the whole “rooting for the underdog” theme from the get-go. Izuku gets rejected at every turn for wanting more than anything to be a hero, and he’s rejected every time due to having no quirk. I get it. I get that. I see that. 

But also, I just need to say, I lose my mind every time I rewatch episode 1. Every goddamn time and it’s strictly because of this screenshot.

These are. These are Izuku’s classmates. The ones pursuing the hero track. Somehow the series’ world-building just glosses over the fact that ¾ of the quirked populace has stupid fucking quirks. That seems important. That’s a big fucking deal. Like Horikoshi could only draw so many background characters before going “fuck it, he’s got fucking stretchy fingers that’s his fucking quirk”.

That fucker in the middle. That fucking stupid snail-boy. What’s he gonna do? Is he gonna spy on villains by looking over a wall that’s one foot taller than he is? “Oh shit boss, he’s looking above eye-level, we’re screwed now boss”  It’s called a ladder shit-idiot. Like?? I remember a character analyses vid that attributed this sort of thing to why Bakugo grew up into a raging fuckmunch. This kid grew up being able to sweat nitroglycerin and trigger it on command and all he had to compare it to growing up was a hoard of freaks and the quirkless Deku. How would YOU process this info growing up? (and this is before taking into account that people wouldn’t stop praising Bakugo for his quirk until he got into UA.)

this is just a random side note about binders since that seems to be todays topic; pls dont wear your binder on an airplane!!! since your ribcage expands when you go up in altitude to compensate for the thinner air, your binder that may fit well normally might start to get too tight and you might not be able to breathe. do NOT i repeat do NOT wear a binder on an airplane. i know it sucks and can be very hard bc of dysphoria but would you rather be unbinded or suffocating?
