Hi lollll the fact that I posted on this blog all of Two Times haunts me every day but especially recently because I just (4/20/22) celebrated my two year trikafta anniversary. soooo I figure since it's bothering me how quickly I abandoned this blog I should make a lil post
Two years!!!! That's crazy insane. A lottttt has changed over these past two years in regards to my health... Firstly, (I wish I'd tracked this so I could give an exact date š£) the first change I noticed on trikafta was that my cough completely went away! That's something that had been consistently bothering me for years, and within just the first few weeks on my medication, it was gone! So thankful for this every single day.
Another thing I've noticed is it's definitely changed my hormones which is interesting... My cycle is way different than when I started and my overall... scent... has ummm changed lol I'll leave it at that. That does make me wonder if anyone else has had similar changes though... I have been told by my doctor that there's been a baby boom in the CF community lately, so trikafta is doing Something in there
I didn't gain any weight like I expected to, but I also haven't had any very bad side effects like I expected, so I'm taking what I can get. Aside from a change in my general moodiness, that is. Entered my angry white boy era in 2020 LMAO but didn't we all
Last week I had trouble with my insurance switching me over to the adult system and rejecting my request for a trikafta refill. I was freaking out because I'd only ever missed one dose in two years ans my anniversary was coming up. I ended up running out and missing two doses and I was very VERY nervous I was going to have withdrawal symptoms but I was completely fine... so. That's really good hehe
I got covid twice (I think) in the last two years and was totally fine, just mild symptoms. Just in case anyone was wondering how that was going
lol there was something else I was going to say but I forgot! I also got an adhd diagnosis since starting trikafta unrelated but everything else I was going to say has just wandered out of my brain so I'm demonstrating it rn ⤠aww
I'm sure there's more I could sayyy more updates I could give but idk I'm going to wrap this up. I'm very happy with my medicine and very happy with how well I'm going physically. OH MY LUNG FUNCTION my lung function is comparable to like a normal healthy non-CF person's now. whaaaat. that's so awesome. okay okay I'm very happy blah blah blah I'm doing super well yadda yadda that's all I've got to say rn bye
