relationship ramble

Being in a fantastic, stable relationship after having been (and caused) hurt in the past is an incredible feeling. Having spent the past two nights over at my GF’s place, I’m reminded just how amazing the feelings of mutual comfort and contentment can be. Picnics in the mountains, home cooked meals, catching pokemon, netflix & chill, and cuddling all night are the spice(s) of life. There’s always someone out there who can make you happy, and I’ve found her. However this ends up playing out, it’s pretty wonderful right now. Love you, Chels.

The little ball of smiles beside me here is my buddy, “Lil” Chris Mendoza, and he really needs help right now. He’s in the ICU awaitingl surgery after a terrible car accident/ severe spinal injury, and his amazing family lives well below the poverty line. The family all have no idea how to proceed, so we’re trying to help. ANY help at all would be greatly appreciated, even if it’s limited to thoughts and/or prayers. Please spread this around. It’s terrifying to see him in that bed with all those machines. :’(

UPDATE: Little man finally had his surgery today, and it seems to have been a success! They can take him off the breathing tube as early as tomorrow, and then the long and arduous recovery process can begin. He’s far from out of the woods, but things are looking way up. :D

As mentioned, this will still be a huge emotional (and financial) struggle for the family, so any help will go a long way.
