In honor of Pride Month, I will now relay you with the greatest queer love story ever told:

My Peter Gabriel mii and my Richard Wright mii in Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream

(Note that this happened a while ago now so I don't remember all the details perfectly, but I will try my best)

So basically, on my island, I made both a mii of Peter Gabriel and Rick Wright. They didn't really pay much attention to each other for a while until one day when I was playing and a cutscene appeared where Peter suddenly started crushing on Rick. And when I tell you this man was COMPLETELY head-over-heels! I swear there were more than like five separate times where I would go to Peter and get a cutscene where he would fantasize about being with Rick.

Rick meanwhile, didn't even really know Peter existed. In fact, I think there was even a period where Rick didn't even really like Peter but he was to smitten to notice lmao.

Then out of nowhere, Rick suddenly starts liking Peter back. I don't even remember how this happened, all I remember is that all of a sudden the crush was mutual and before I knew it they were living together without either of them knowing that their feelings were reciprocated by the other person. It was like something straight out of a romcom!!

And then, the dramatic twist.

Literally out of nowhere, Peter decided he's not into Rick anymore. I remember shocked because, like I said, Peter had a MASSIVE crush. And all of a sudden he looses interest??? It's a fucking telenovela, I tell you.

Finally, Rick decides he's going to ask Peter out. I was nervious because the feeling weren't mutual anymore, but apparently Peter was lying to himself and still had underlying feelings because, lo and behold, he immediately accepts!!

And they started gay dating, got gay married and lived gay happily ever after!

Maybe some of you have noticed that I've been very Rush-pilled on this blog lately. It probably has something to do with the fact that I'm seeing them on their new tour in less than a month!! I don't really have anything to say with this post, I just hope you don't mind me gushing about how excited I am for a little bit.

Anyway, I AM GENUINELY ECSTATIC!!! I really never thought I'd get to see them live in my life time! I CANNOT BELIEVE I'M GONNA GET TO SEE GEDDY AND ALEX IN PERSON (from pretty far away, but still lol). Especially Geddy, who is my #1 bass idol and one of my favorite musicians ever!! Whenever I think about how I'm gonna hear the bass and see the man that first inspired me to become a bassist myself I get SO happy!!!

I CANNOT WAIT!!!!

– Don't know about you, but to me Jon is 100% a Little Twin Starts boy. I feel like they fit him perfectly!!

– I feel like Chris would like Tuxedo Sam. I have no explanation for that, I just have a feeling he would

– Steve would be a Pochacco fan for no other reason than he just finds him kinda cool

– Bill gives me extreme Badtz-maru energy. I feel a kinship between the two

Hello! Here are my answers :)

6: I think I would rather live in the same place since I don't know if I'd be able to take the stress and instability of constantly moving around. I would like to see the world, but I've been living in the same town my whole life anyway and I've been fine.

11: Ooh, I hoped I'd get this one! I have a lot of songs I remember loving as a child but some of my favorites where Bastille Day by Rush, Enter Sandman by Metallica and The Trooper by Iron Maiden!

14: The movie The Prince Of Egypt! I am not religious in the slightest, but I think that movie tells the story beautifully and I cry almost everytime I watch it. The soundtrack is incredible and I listen to it sporadically. Also, the animation is gorgeous. Genuinely one of my favorite pieces of media ever.

27: "If I go insane, please don't put your wires in my brain" from "If" by Pink Floyd. Being autistic, it really speaks to me and the way I would never want to be "changed" or "fixed" because my neurodivergence is not a problem, despite it coming with its difficulties.

For a while now I've been thinking about this stupid ""theory"" I made up that I like to call "the prog band hippie to nerd spectrum", in which prog bands can be ranked on a spectrum based on how hippie-ish or nerdy they are.

Let me explain because I am well aware that this makes sense to literally nobody but me.

Basically, I've noticed that certain prog bands tend to lean more "hippie-ish", for lack of a better word, while others come of more "nerdy".

I've decided to visualize this with a graph!

This graph is not based on how popular or obscure each band is compared to one another. This is entirely going off vibes. One way to look at it is to imagine a fan of each band in your head. What kind of person comes to mind first? Are they a more hippie looking person or do they lean more towards a pop culture nerd type? Are they somewhere in the middle? Personally, when I imagine a Pink Floyd fan they lean much more towards hippie, while a Rush fan is much more of a nerd. Again, I REALLY hope this makes sense and I'm not just saying nonsense right now lmao.

I placed each band according to how much I perceived them to lean towards over the other. (Klaatu exists in perfect harmony lmao).

Absolutely love how pre-DSOTM Pink Floyd where just kind of fucking around making songs about bikes and gnomes and whatever the fuck Ummagumma was and then as soon as 1973 hit they were just like "man, life kinda sucks, doesn't it?"
