Being the first cut on a Saturday
I just started waitressing recently, I'm currently in my first week, and I'm not making as good as most of the other servers at my job, does it get better or could it just be I'm not waitress material?? Advice?
It'll take time. Once your comfortable that'll come out in your work. Think of some of the good servers you have had and try to emulate that!

When my table complains about a long wait
When I get a table of semi-famous or rich people
When people come up to me at the waitress station
When all of my tables are flagging me down
When I'm waiting on an impossible person
when I make up stories to my tables to try and get bigger tips
When your table tells you they changed their mind after you already put their order in
how i feel when customers are in my way... which is always
When I get a table of foreigners
when someone asks me what I did on my day off
When we're closed and I'm still waiting for my last table to leave
When we get to try the new menu items
