So, this post may not be super timely. The Olympics are over and the Paralympics are almost done. We have stopped tuning in and NBC is now back to whatever they show when the Olympics aren't on....

How does the Passover tie into Jesus' final hours? That is the topic of today. Years ago, I listened to a talk from Scott Hahn entitled " The Fourth Cup. " In it, Dr. Hahn discusses his long struggle...
post #2 is up on my blog!
Here’s a fun/depressing game:
1. Go to this website
2. Go through the steps to calculate the possibility of finding a soulmate
3. Reblog with the number of people perfect for you
I’ll start. Out of 89,764 singles in my area, there are 80 “perfect people” for me.
69. out of 135,000+ singles.
0.59 people… very very glad I’m already married!
5.9 out of 22,050 :|
610 people….in Louisville. But yanno, married etc.
1.59...I will never get married.
I started a blog
Yay! I decided to separate it from tumblr, mostly because the way I want to run it is easier to format on a website.
It is going to be a reflection on what is going on in my classroom, as well as a place for religion teacher resources. I would love for you to check it out and pass it on to anyone who may be interested.

"Nobody wants to have an abortion. And if nobody wants to have an abortion, why are women doing it, 2,800 times a day? If women doing something 2,800 times daily that they don’t want to do, this is not liberation we’ve won. We are colluding in a strange new form of oppression." I met a boy at my brothers wedding in november. He is very sweet and nice...and lives a half a country away. Today we were talking and I basically told him that while he is very nice I decided I dont want to start something since it would be long distance. It makes my tummy hurt. I am bad at these things.
I was talking to two women at church tonight. I entered a brief side conversation with someone else. While I was doing that, they walked a few feer away and kept talking. Then I heard, "Okay, I won't tell her." My anexity has convinced me that they were talking about me ugh. Now I am replaying the whole night in my heAd to figure out where I screwed up.
When there is an apparent conflict between science and religion it is either because of bad science or bad religion, or both.

The God that decided the world needs sunsets and sunrises and the moon and starry nights and oceans and beaches and puppies is the same God that made me and said “the world needs one of these too.”
And that’s just the coolest thing.
In a society so often intoxicated by consumerism and hedonism, wealth and extravagance, appearances and narcissism, [Jesus] calls us to act soberly, in other words, in a way that is simple, balanced, consistent, capable of seeing and doing what is essential … Amid a culture of indifference which not infrequently turns ruthless, our style of life should instead be devout, filled with empathy, compassion and mercy, drawn daily from the wellspring of prayer.
