What's your favorite monster food?

[They all really like sushi actually]E — I tend to like any sort of meat that’s mostly raw and fresh.  I can eat cooked foods and I will.  Greens are difficult for me to digest so I rarely eat them.Alric — I’m a Pescetarian, and as a general rule, only eat sea-food and fish.  It’s a natural function as opposed to dietary choice.Ryou — Hmm, I’m not very picky, I like sea food as well, but I’ll eat anything.  I don’t think I have a favorite—a hot sludge on a cold day is always nice though.((did all of the ones so far for this one))

Have you ever met Johnny worthington?

…..are you asking if I’ve met the arrogant son or the arrogant father?The third in the line of Worthington’s is an excellent scarer but he takes advice about well as a blind man sees the sun. I had the pleasure of attempting to give a instructional while he was there and he wasn’t the most attentive of monsters.I still see him from time to time at Fear Co, like every scarer there.  When I go to help with matching the children to monsters.  Who knows though, perhaps he’s more receptive and less of an over-confident child than he was back then.((in an RP outside of tumblr she does know him, though they had a similar rock beginning, she’s been very at odds with him for some time in that world, but the time period is different. And when it’s not specified who you guys are asking, I just go with E xD))

Professor E do you have a boyfriend?

Simply put: No.I’ll be the first to tell you of my social ineptitude, I’m even worse at dating.  Honestly? I don’t know how.I guess it’s not necessarily that I’m against the idea, but I don’t even know my type. And I’m pretty focused on my teaching—so I guess I don’t really give myself time for social interaction let alone…romantic.As sad as it is, my social life is usually decided by those around me and not by myself.  I’m sure if someone even showed interest I wouldn’t realize it, I don’t get those hints.

Why don't monster scares produce energy?

Professor E:  That is an excellent question. Quite honesty, our history is vague on how scaring began.  Who found/created the first door? Who scared a child? Who realized a human child’s scream was exceptionally potent, enough to form electricity.The human world seems to be comprised of a rather unique atmosphere compared to ours.  I’m no scientist, but it’s possible the differences in our worlds create this unique form of energy that only we are able to harness.  Because it works for our world and not there’s, just as our screams are useless in our world.I don’t pretend to know anything about this subject, humans are fascinating creatures and the reasons they are so useful to us are probably still uncertain.  I’ve yet to hear a logical explanation as to why this is, but the facts are solid, monster’s have tried to produce their own energy to no avail.

Professor E what makes a child's scream create the energy monsters use to power there cities?

Quite frankly, it doesn’t have to be a child.  Children are just easier to scare which gives the monster world a dependable source of energy. 

In any case, a child’s scream is recorded in the decibels it emits, technology has found a way to refine that and convert it into energy.  Much like wind and sun have been known to do if the proper equipment is available.The screams are captured in canisters, like compressed air.  And they are then shipped off to whatever various power locations need them.  The compressed screams are then fueled into the power sources, thus, giving energy to the whole region it encompasses.It’s truly remarkable, in actuality, adult screams could be just as potent if not more so.  If only they were so easy to scare.

Though—I am interested in someone.It’s a little difficult to say how I feel since I travel so much, but hopefully with my upcoming hiatus, I’ll get the courage.

According to the CDA what happens when a human comes in contact with a monster?

The victim must have all wounds (areas touched by children or objects children have handled) cleaned and sanitized.  The victim must then wear CDA approved gear to avoid any touching of the wounds. (typically a cone around the neck)If actual contact with a child occurs, the CDA will often take the victim into intensive medical care to make sure the proper antibiotics and supplements are supplied to keep the victim from dying.  Usually, this involves overnight supervision to be certain they are safe from harm.It’s suggested to clean it daily afterwords, in a sanitary environment. 

Contact with children is prohibited and if not done by accident and used against company policy, a monster could very well be banished, without a trial.   Or taken into CDA custody and never seen again.

It’s all rather elementary knowledge, every monster learns it, and it’s pounded into their heads more thoroughly if they join a scaring company due to the high risk of the job.  Though—-I have my own opinions.Unfortunately, my opinions are of little concern when these rules have been absolutely integrated into our society. (even if I have reason to believe that none of these actions are necessary)However, you asked for CDA specifications, so there you have it.

Ryou (Ryō) Miyake [Musician and Lead Singer for his band Tokumei] Age: 27-35 (depending on timeline) Musician and Singer Writes all of the music for his small band comprising of his twin brothers, and a couple of friends. Sort of a J-rock/indie style of music Personality/Quirks Quiet, Polite, rather shy and reserved.  Really sweet and gentle at heart, but not a very talkative person.  Prefers to share himself through music, as he's better at expressing it that way. He is exceptionally caring and does his best to please others above himself.  He prefers to avoid confrontation unless it has to do with those he cares about (namely his brothers). Protective and responsible. Those who are close to him typically go to him to talk because he devotes his attention to you and listens very well. Other Raised by very strict parents who wanted him to go on to be a doctor or even a scarer would do better, they do not approve of his musical career as it brings him little income and are much harder on him than his brothers.  None the less, he loves them and knows they mean well even if they don't recognize what makes him happy. He's very reserved compared to his brothers, who had a lot more freedom as children and decided to follow him in the music genre.   He can play guitar but usually only uses it to write the music for his band.  He doesn't seek popularity and tends to take a half year to a year hiatus after a long tour, just to keep them grounded and humble. His tendrils are very inconsistent in shape and size.

Alric Verstandhauer [Renowned 'European' Based Scarer, Works at Entsetzen Branchen] .::Any Timeline::. Age: 40 One of the top scarers at Entsetzen Branchen (Basically Terror Industries, it's based in the Monster version of Germany) Graduated summa cum laude at the University he attended Has a side interest in anatomy and Medical pursuits Occasionally does training sessions at various scaring institutions (in Europe and Eastern US) With his country and scare company being more liberating, he's an adult scarer.  He rarely takes child cases (not because he's sentimental, but because he enjoys challenges) Personality/Quirks Highly intelligent, clever, egotistical, sadistic.   He's known for giving off an air of discomfort though he's professional during work hours.  He's exceptionally particular on his social circle, and finds those that cannot meet his intellectual standards (unless he finds them entertaining) beneath him. He, truthfully, just enjoys those that have will-power to bite back in conversation.  The longer it takes for him to diminish someone's confidence, the more he respects them. Blunt and cruel in his blatant honesty, he's only utilized in training because he can, metaphorically, whip a monster into shape.   He's cunning, many admire his scaring abilities but prefer to stay clear of him in social settings because he's a bit nerve-wracking to converse with, as he has a knack for prying into your mind. Other His full brutality is saved for humans only, and if you can keep up with him, he's an exceptional conversationalist.  His dry sense of humor interests some, and those that aren't immediately put off by his rather intimidating demeanor might have a chance at a social interaction. He's not romantic, at all.  But he is possessive and has a dominant personality. (random note: his physical design is based off of a frosted nudibranch and a viper fish, he's rather quick moving despite his slug origins, and that's due to the nature of the fish, you can see some of his internal organs occasionally as his colors shift depending on how heavily he lights himself up too [bioluminescence] )

[Random information about the main OC for this blog] Professor E [Professor of Human Studies at Monster's University] -Post MU- Age: 37 'Retired' Monsters Incorporated Human Expert Professor at Monster's University Early graduate of Fear Tech Worked at MI through an internship during schooling and graduated early to get hired full-time (mostly due to charter schools where she received her associates at an early age). Studied human's extensively--was a human expert for MI (studying new children and their fears to link them to an appropriate monster) "Retired" early due to the company growing to secretive for her liking Was picked up by MU as a professor (since most monster's aren't as interested in humans as she is) for the much needed position of Human Studies. Occasionally works summer jobs at Fear Co and Scare Industries to assess children's files and match them up with the scaring employees available.   Knows more about humans than any monster wants to know.  Most find her kind of odd because of it. Personality/Quirks Professional, serious, devoted to her work.  Can't scare because she hates making children cry (monster or human), has expressed interest in scaring should they ever move to teens or adults. Socially inept, tends to be reserved and even shy in large groups, preferring not to speak at all (more comfortable in the classroom for group discussions). She takes her work very seriously and can be offended when called out for her odd fascination with humans. Awkward under any romantic advances.   Very straight forward and honest when she gets to know a person, a bit blunt even. She can be bitter when others see her work as pointless Easily flustered when it comes to flattery. She has a terrible fear of spiders, she can handle spider-like monsters for the sake of toleration, but small creepy-crawlies just bother her immensely. When startled, she has a tendency to go into defensive override and may or may not bite the nearest person/object.  Her venom is very mild and hardly has an effect on monsters at all, it's sort of a built in muscle relaxant and is more of an irritation than anything dangerous.  (Luckily it's not super easy to startle her that badly) Other Spends most of her time alone, studies a lot, and focuses on her research.  She's had no luck with relationships of any sort though she has managed to keep one friend who will remain her best friend.  She doesn't typically open up to people because she's shut herself off from that, keeping up a professional forefront to all she meets.
