God wanted devotion,

And bended knee,

But Lucifer was more like you and me,

And said “Taste of the fruit,

It will make you free”.

But God became angry and cursed him to go,

And now he is above, and Satan below.

Should I move to West Virginia and start a commune? Probably. Will I do it? Maybe.

I thought as a teenager that I’d feel complete when I get a “normal job”

Well now I have an 8 to 4 normal job. And nothing has ever felt so fruitless.

Working to support a capitalist society doesn’t feel like earning a living to me. It feels like enforcing a lie.

You know what does feel right? Spending hours processing apples I picked for free and preserving them so I don’t have to worry about having apples for 8 months.

Picking and freezing corn I grew so I don’t have to buy corn. Actually working towards survival instead of passively surviving from working in a job that only exists because of the society we have built.
