Book Recommendations!

Studying witchcraft, what has been a book you’ve read that has been a go to for you time and time again or one that you’ve integrated with your grimiore/bos?

My Thoughts:

Does anyone feel weird about how the internet or books don’t talk or explore some new ideas:

1. Self-made contracts, vows, or sacrifices.

Why do I not hear or see anything about sacrificing or giving up aspects of things in our lives? Hobbies, interests, or objects/things we love to empower our spells or get something in return from the universe.

2. Egregores and Servitores

This isn’t a subject I see talked about ENOUGH! I’m so obsessed and interested in this subject, it’s fascinating to see what creative things people use them for!

3. Ritual magic!?

Higher magic is such a vague subject they seem to always talk about. They always talk about the steps but never comment on their experiences…

UPDATE:

I think to some degree, I feel as though my life has turned around. I’ve been more adamant on reducing my negative self talk and made the effort to have positive affirmations everyday. From speech to even the music I listen to, I’ve been careful about what I say and honestly I feel like it’s working! Stay safe and blessed be!

Witch Things!

1. Constantly brainstorming spell ideas and new ways to evolve your craft

Brainstorm is just one aspect, I love combining ideas and different magical processes as a step further

2. Spending more time researching than casting spells!

I hope it’s not just me, I love doing research, especially on spirits and entities!

3. Always ignoring a single step (aka: salt circle, protection spells, or doing tarot before spellwork)

For me it’s the salt circle or tarot

4. Pushing off or ignoring shadow work, and wondering why there are things going wrong!

Like why do we do this??!

5. Either impatient for the spell results or having a rushed spellwork

Btw, have anyone put coffee/energy drink/caffeine in their spells to rush them? Just a thought!

Spellwork #1

I’ve officially casted my first spell of the year, I did a New Years’ spell on the full moon so I’d have a prosperous year! I didn’t use too many things other than some runes and words on a candle, I didn’t want it to be over-complicated. Let me know what’s your first spell of the year!

Introduction

For awhile I’ve been wanting to start an actual witchcraft account, not because of what others think but because of myself. I’ve always felt sort of ashamed of myself for being so interested in witchcraft…always wondering if it’s too dangerous or too scary, or even go to hell for it.

But for so long I’ve had this nonstop pull to witchcraft, this hunger to learn about everything beyond me, and just feel free to surround myself with everything like it. I’m trying to step out my comfort zone & be better!
