indie was used to working taking any job she could to help pay her tuition. cleaning people’s home was the one she had the longest. it was the most flexible and the easiest of the ones she had at the moment. with her headphones in, she made her way through the kitchen - the last place she had to clean for the day. as she reached across the counter to wipe it down, she could feel someone’s eyes on her. she looked over her shoulder first to see who it was. she’d only talked to the owner a couple times and normally didn’t see them when she came in. indie turned around to face them and took out her headphones. “i’m just finishing up in here. was there a problem?”
