I don't know where to throw this but gdgfusyf AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
It's not a "HEAR ME OUT" cake, it's a whole ass PASTRY SHOP I'M ABOUT TO OPEN NOW.
The actor himself is just... far from the "pretty" faces you see everywhere and I'm OBSESSED with him. He has many flaws, strange features like if you put them apart it's not even very pretty but all together it creates a painting. He has a large mouth but a tiny cute nose, big wide grey eyes and freckles, he's ugly when he cries, he has greasy hair when he fights, he sweats like a pig during battles, his hair is messy all the time, he looks like a new born baby when he screams, he got fucking huge filament of saliva dripping down his mouth, snot cascading from his nose, he's just pathetic most of the time, but he feels also SO REAL.
YET, from pathetic and whimpering, he becomes monstrous, desirable, charming and smooth... I never believed the magic would happen, but everything WORKS so well with him. I was hooked on the first minutes of the movie because he defined the vision I have of Dracula : this character would always remain at the frontier between humanity and monstrosity. Swinging back and forth between the two entities he is : a man in love and a monster punished by the hand of God.
When Gary Oldman was a hell of a charm, he felt colder, more dangerous. This version of that little whimpering boy shakes all the boxes inside my brain like : POSSESS THIS DOLL OR BURN IN HELL.
I need a fucking drink.
I need ice cubes over my body.
I NEED HIM.
Caleb fucking Landry Jones, you are entering my little mind cabinet of those actors I'm going to cherish obsessively now... CONGRATS.
