FIVE / ( HOBBIES ) drawing when the mood strikes, writing when i can muster up the brain power, video games which i usually indulge in on the weekends, reading comics/fanfics, uhh does collecting art books count? mostly of the video game variety, but i got one or two from animated movies. plus, using my graphic design degree to make sick graphics. oh! and watching movies, used to collect the ticket stubs too.

SIX / ( FAVORITE COLOR ) mmm it used to be red, white, or black, but i guess my preferences changed over the years? lately it’s been blues ‘n purples. i like vibrant art where purples seamlessly blend into blues or even pinks. like a 80s neon vibe, i feel that.

SEVEN / ( FAVORITE BOOKS ) it’s been so long since i’ve had the time to sit down and actually read a book, so i can’t really remember anything off the top of my head. so i’ll slap down some stuff that can be loosely defined as a book, but still a book nonetheless.

EIGHT / ( LAST SONG LISTENED TO ) manifest [ live ] by starset

NINE / ( LAST FILM WATCH ) in theaters? my hero academia: heroes rising cause, y’know, i saw the first movie in theaters so i had to lmao. at home? i think hellboy [ 2004 ] was the last movie i watched all the way through.

TEN / ( INSPIRATION FOR MUSE  ) i saw the first movie in 2007 and thought “wow that’s cool, a dude that turns into a flaming skeleton wearing leather AND rides a motorcycle???? count me in!” tried rping him for a bit on one of them old, ass chat sites then stopped. fast forward to the second movie coming out in 2012 and there he was again, crying for attention. so i took him to iscribble; a drawing and chatting site, and rped him there before finally making a home for him on tumblr.

my inspiration for him might’ve came from the movies, but once i started reading the comics and understanding his character more, well, i couldn’t really find another muse that matched up. he is equal parts aesthetically pleasing to my tastes and that kind of deeply sad/angry, yet character capable of so much sass, stupidity, and tender love that i just?? kept writing him and developed him into what he is now. he might not be totally canon compliant anymore, which is fine, but he’s my muse and i’m delighted with how he’s evolved throughout the years. and i’m even happier to say johnny isn’t as sad as he used to be and has, in fact, accepted he can also be happy. that he doesn’t have to mope around all the time and can allow himself to love without fear of loss. that’s growth, babe-y.

ELEVEN / ( STORY BEHIND URL ) i’ve had a total of three urls over the course this blog’s creation which was about....eight years ago now? probably shoulda remade at some point to organize his tags and whatnot, but i really?? don’t feel the need to. never have really. 

my first url was ‘charredskullsandchains’ then ‘semiustilatus’ a couple years later--- for the whole latin trend which was.....a choice now that i think back on it. it supposedly means ‘charred’ in latin since back then and even today, people still referred to me as charred. my url now is a callback to my original url, kinda, just shorter. bones sounded catchier compared to ‘skulls’ or ‘chains’. but if i were to really, reallllllly think back on why i chose my first url....i think it was the second ghost rider movie. yeah, tragic, i know--- finding inspiration through the worse of the two movies. it was the whole charred look he had any time he went rider. blackened skull and chains and bubbling leather, y’know, when johnny’s relationship with zarathos wasn’t great, so their look devolved into that mess. that’s what i always viewed it as anyways, so i went with it even if my johnny’s rider look didn’t reflect it. i just thought it sounded catchy.

FIVE SIMILARITIES BETWEEN MUSE &. MUN.

01. We share a love for baking, although our regular cooking skills could use some polishing. 02. We enjoy lounging on the couch in front of the tv watching movies and retro cartoons. 03. We like dad jokes too much. Guaranteed to wear a shit-eating grin after telling one. 04. We both have great difficulties expressing our emotions sometimes. 05. Leather jackets and motorcycles are pretty damn sweet. Very enthused about owning these things. Also, we both like the smell of leather.

Art is the bane of my existence, but I love it anyways.
