I suspect water has similar properties in both our dimensions -- for us, it's necessary for life, though it could be dangerous if consumed in extreme excess. (But I mean, what compounds *aren't* dangerous under those circumstances?) I don't know if you're interested in our world's chemistry or fundamental physical constants, but for reference, our water is a polar covalent molecule with the formula H2O and a bond angle of about 104.45 degrees.
Of course our dimensions seem similar, but if we can tell any differences between our water it might be easier to tell if the chemical composition between our dimensions have any significant differences which would result in a lot of differences we may not even be thinking about.
I may be getting ahead of myself here though, especially considering just from what you’ve already said they sound the same. Our dimensions may have identical makeups, and just have different historical and social differences.
That’s a bit harder to figure out though since your dimension is 40 years ahead of mine and the fine details would rely on how much you all were told about history.
