Hear me out we all know that Spite would def approve and adore having Lucanis be with Rook but wouldn’t it be funny if Spite actually is really annoyed by Lucanis’ pining?

No Lucanis Spite doesn’t want to hang out with Rook for the 537th time this week because Spite can’t stand how his host never acts on his feelings. What do you mean Lucanis is shy. This mf doesn’t shy away from a kill so why does he get squirmy about this Rook

Spite can’t even be bothered to fight against Lucanis and just stays quiet, kinda like the dead Peter Griffin lying on the floor in boredom

It was like a nightmare. A terrible, terrible joke.

You remembered how you marked your calender, striking each day that brought you closer your 4-eared man like it was christmas.

You remembered whining about the wait time still being over a week long and yet giggling in anticipation of his big debut. Admiring his seemingly nerdier side and how your mind wandered to the thought of what his special cards would be like especially with the wolf thing he had going on...dear god...

You remember feeling it all crumble into dust before you. Just like that, your Valko was gone for good.

Between the celebration from his haters and the petitions by his admirers, it was all static noise to you. He was yours and nothing could stop that. You would get him back.

It didn't speak too kindly on your mental state, seeing how quickly you determined to leave everything for "a bunch of pixels"...but your brain only ran on one track, one where your final stop would take you to him again.

First you tried shifting, with little result. You'd get soo close...but then you'd open your eyes too early or you'd get distracted and the frustration piled up with every failed attempt.

Then you tried to add yourself to the game with a suspicious "brain chip", you were certain was a scam.

To your surprise, it works perfectly in the demo. Extracting another character and placing them in your laptop...however the fee was ridiculous and not amount of desperation or begging or borrowing or loans could pay it, the demo alone had hurt your wallet massively which foolishly led you to believe you'd actually bought the chip.

Next was lucid dreaming...then meditation...then manifestion...nothing worked.

Finally you landed on straight up witchcraft. You'd laid the candles, burned your sage, even drew the pentagram with your blood for hopefully better result. The instructions said to write your heart's desire on paper, burn it and mix the ashes with water then drink all whilst sitting in the pentagram.

It'd been hard to get it all down without throwing up due to just how big your paper was...but you did it anyway.

Yet all that came after was silence..

You felt your eyes begin to twitch at another failed attempt and flew into another fit, throwing and smashing all that was within reach, shrieking and alarming your neighbours for possibly the 5th time this week, and it was tuesday.

Soon you collspsed into the ground, crying yourself to sleep whilst your own hand caressed your face, wishing it was his.

Your dreams grant you a momentary relief before streams of sunlight wake you up against your will. You'd been just about to hug him when the rays came like fire behind your eyelids.

One red-rimmed eye flies open as if to glare at the sun...when you remember you were curled on the floor...in the corner of your room, away from anywhere the sun should reach in your room the sun..how could it...

That wasn't your curtain.

Sitting up, your hands sunk into the soft bed..you weren't on the floor either...

Wiping your eyes comically, you find that—yes— this isn't your room!

Slowly...ever so slowly, you turns to see the man laying by your side, an ear flicking when an insect flies to close.

Your eyes turn glassy before you can control it and you hugged him tightly.

The man stirred, awoken by the tight squeeze, but certainly not complaining.

He grinned at the display and rubbed your back. "Bad dream?" He asked, slightly cocky but visibly concerned.

"Yeah" you said quietly.

"I lost you"

He stayed quiet for a bit before his thumb brushed your cheek.

"Sweetheart.." he said slowly. You heart leaped, remembering it was the petname you wrote.

"You'll never lose me to anything. I'm right here and forever yours, ok?"

He finished, hugging you tighter.

"Ok"

You nodded, dragging your finger along his clavicle, causing a slight shudder to run through him.

Then snuggling further into his chest, you nipped his collar bone, causing the man—who'd already allowed sleep to claim him again— to whine deeply.

"Honey...." he drawled, holding you even tighter, tail wrapping around your thigh as you watched the mark bloom, not red but black with the proof of the ritual still on your tongue. You did it again. Less black. More red at the edges, causing the man to groan whilst you admired your work.

He was right after all. If what you wrote came true, he was no longer just a love interest anyone could pick. He was available to you alone.

He was all yours.

You'd just have to hope the reprecautions to follow would be worth it.

Redd will never stop being the absolute funniest Animal Crossing character to me. It's illegal how underrated he is. He's got either a londoner or new yorky accent depending on how you read it. His logo is a blatant ripoff of Tom Nook's. He's fuzzy. He wears nothing but an apron. He's a bastard. He's clever. He's amazing at art. He does not utilise this talent in a genuine way. He painted the Mona Lisa at least 5 times but with angry eyebrows and no other change. He went to art school. He's divorced from Tom Nook. He has a million cousins. His old colleague now works for his ex instead. He lives on a boat. He has to hide said boat from Tom. He doesn't even know if half his art is real or fake. He's a kitsune with no powers so is essentially just a normal fox. He recreated an entire stone tablet and the only thing he changed was he made it bright blue. Blathers hates him. He's an enemy of the state. He openly admitted he was crazy before realising that was a bad sales technique. He replaced the adjective with 'jolly'. In old games people were blatantly racist against him being a fox. He has the same criminal motivation as Nick Wilde. His name is just the colour of his fur. His password is a spiteful jab at his ex. He's REDD.

He's just so damn FUNNY.
