esme is the embodiment of infectious energy. she’s incredibly friendly and outgoing, always seeking a way to get everyone to get along. her larger-than-life personality, amplified by her many clones, can be both a gift and a curse. on the positive side, her presence lights up any room. she’s the life of the party, the one who brings people together with her excitement and enthusiasm. she thrives on connection and fun, always looking for ways to engage others, whether through pranks, schemes, or simply spreading joy. her emotions run deep, and when she's happy, it's a euphoric high that can lift everyone around her.
however, her intense emotional nature can lead to some challenges. esme’s temper can flare up unexpectedly, and when things aren’t going her way, she can become quick-tempered and snappy. the emotional weight of losing too many clones can also take its toll, leaving her feeling drained and overwhelmed. though she tries to brush off the pain for the sake of the group, it’s not always easy to keep her emotions in check. sometimes, she doesn’t pick up on cues from others who might need space or who don’t share her intensity. too caught up in her and her clones' emotions, she can miss when people need a break from her exuberance, unintentionally pushing people away.
despite her sometimes overwhelming energy, clover’s genuine desire to make others feel welcome is always at the heart of her actions. her carefree attitude is infectious, even if it can be a little too much for some.

esmeray's mutation allows her to create clones, each capable of independent action. she enjoys using her ability, especially for mischief, as she’s full of energy and often gets into trouble with her clones. she enjoys having multiple versions of herself allows her to experience more of the world. each one of her clones she feels a bond and connection to. like a tether or a link, one she can feel emotions through and sometimes get some sight from.
esme's clones are often sent ahead of her for risky situations, allowing her to scout or take on dangerous tasks with less personal risk. it's a responsibility she takes seriously, as she feels it's her job to protect the group by sending clones out into harm’s way first. however, this also weighs heavily on her, as each time a clone is lost, she gains their memories, emotions, and thoughts, adding to her already complex sense of self.
there are subtle differences between esme and her clones, like a freckle here or a slight shift in posture, which help those around her tell them apart. still, the clones can be difficult to distinguish, especially in high stress situations.
while esme enjoys the chaos of multiple versions of herself running around, the emotional toll of absorbing each clone’s life experiences can be exhausting. the limit of her power lies in her ability to process all the memories and emotions, and the emotional strain can become overwhelming, especially if too many clones are lost at once.

esme's upbringing was a whirlwind of chaos, curiosity, and the constant need for attention. as a child, she was a handful (still is) often out of control, with multiple clones of herself running around the labs, causing all sorts of mischief. her antics, like sneaking into places she wasn’t supposed to be, became a game. eventually, the scientists stopped trying to contain her, and it became easier to simply keep track of her. this chaotic nature, while frustrating for the scientists, became her way of demanding attention, especially from maverick. she needed him to notice her, to love at least one version of her. with dozens of clones, she thought surely one of them would catch his eye.
while esme thrived on the attention she got from the scientists, there was always a sense of being a test subject nagging at the back of her head. especially when it came to her abilities. she felt a little like a lab experiment, her power being studied and tested. when she was placed with blossom, she was unsure of how it would go, given her powers and blossom’s. but their connection was immediate, and esme wondered how she had gotten this far without her around. blossom’s mutation was painful for esme to endure, but she would never let that stop her. despite the pain, she would take it again and again for blossom, carrying that weight for her.
growing up under maverick’s occasional care, esme's feelings toward him were complex. she longed for his attention and approval, but there was always a distance, as if he was never fully present in her life. the fact that he was sometimes there, sometimes absent, left her with complicated feelings. she wanted to be seen, which just meant she had to be better and better. even now she still feels that way. feeling like maybe she just needs to be better and then it could be okay

- Early on Emma learned fairy tales weren’t only made of dreams, but nightmares as well. Though her childhood was filled with expensive lace dresses, dolls brought from far away travels, and tea out on the hill that looked out over the gardens, the young Vanity quickly learned it was to distract her from other things her family her did which they didn’t want her to see. She was exceptionally good at turning a blind eye when she wanted to, but the girl was born with a curious mind.
- Hogwarts was really where the young girl flourished. She had her friends that were approved by her family--- mostly members of The Sacred Twenty-Eight, but she was also good at keeping a secret. Emma could never wrap her head around hating someone due to their blood status. Sure, she didn’t openly share that, but the thought always nagged at the back of her mind, ever since she was a kid. She also had a fair share of friends she admired, but couldn’t exactly invite home for the holidays.
- After many pushes towards a betrothal, Emma still didn’t have one by the time she graduated. It was her one bargaining chip after all--- she wasn’t going to throw it away without getting something in return. Her passion was to get a job out of school, even if she didn’t need the money; she did well in her studies, and had no desire to be a socialite and sit at home with kids in her early twenties. Many talent scouts had been after her for certain teams, and Emma did tryout to play Quidditch professionally. Every team she tried out for accepted her, but in the end she turned them all down. Though the young Vanity loved nothing more than to play the game, she believed she could help make it better. After weeks of contemplating, she finally accepted her position at the Ministry in the Department of Magical Games and Sports.
- Sometimes people wonder why Emma is so competitive when it comes to everything and everyone around her--- as if she doesn’t wake up every morning before her already early job, to run laps in her neighborhood. She competes with herself first thing in the morning every day to be better than she was the day before. While striving to be better may usually be a positive thing, Emma certainly takes it up a notch.

not from a rich home. his biological dad is a wealthy businessman who most everyone hates. including his mom who divorced him.
growing up, his mother had a lot of boyfriends. aleck never really took to any of them, especially the couple that decided it was okay to hit him.
life went on normally for him until he got to college. he hardly spoke to his mother or anyone back home in chicago. he studied to become a marine biologist but flunked out during his last year before his degree.
