*somehow, a letter drifts by, still pristine despite its journey. sealing it closed is the royal seal of Hallownest, a very odd sight but it hints at the importance of this letter. should you open it, it will read;*
"To the Hands that Found This,
If you have found this letter then please, spare it a moment. I am Lurien the Watcher of Hallownest, and I am sending out random letters through means I am myself uncertain of in hopes that some may find their way to those who can help me.
I seek to fell the lord of the City of Steel and reclaim what he took from us; The Pale King. I know that some may feel strongly towards him but if not for him then I ask that you offer aide for Hallownest itself. I am in need of warriors and mages, or those willing to cause a distraction. I can and will pay.
If this offer in any way interests you, send a reply back to me in the city. I know not how I recieve the replies, perhaps in the same way you recieved this.
In Service Eternal, @lurienthewatcherofficial 🔷"
*The Caretaker took the letter and read it thoroughly*
What strangeness this was... The caretaker heard little about this supposed pale being who fathered them and the various voided kin they had...
"City of Steel"? What sort of strange place was that? Hallownest may have been a long time home for the vessel but they chose to bind themselves to the job they loved dearly and remain one amongst the mighty troupe of Grimm...
And... The Grimmchildren... They wouldn't risk the demise of their beloved companions in something as rash as this... Perhaps if Grimm had willed his troupe to participate in this... war... perhaps the Caretaker would follow..?
What would be the benefit of partaking? Would there be ANY benefits? The Caretaker didn't seem to think there was much in it for them... as Pharloom was a new land to them and they wished to explore it all, perhaps seek Grimm once again and provide aid for the Troupe again...
*After much deliberation with themselves, they chose to write a returning letter to whomever this... Lurian... was. Notify them that this is something lacking clarity. Something that, this vessel has deemed, not entirely of their interests in mind. That such a war could bring the Grimm Troupe, a group of performers, into something that they could not handle... Ultimately, the vessel's decision was one of uncertainty. A mind in need of more persuasion*
*The, largely, unpersuaded vessel had noted their thoughts and some of the concerns before going to send it off to this... "Lurian"... Though, they did not go without wishing grace and luck*
