I love when new potential readers come across the Kilonova arc. The sheer insanity of it. . . when they realize the villains are the protagonist and deuteragonist and they win.

So, I am going to be out of town for the rest of the day. I don't know when we will get back, but I will talk to all of you wonderful people tomorrow.
I am going to post the 31 days of Headcanons for today to catch up, but after that, I will be fully offline again.

Listen. I need you to know that asks like that are the exact reason Bianca bites people.
My girl Bianca is just trying to lead a resistance, raise her twins, and deal with her non-functional, wire-strung wings in peace while dismantling a corrupted company reactor by reactor.

Here is the overview and tags for SOtC. It was called the Redemption!AU for some time. Perhaps years since I couldn't decide on a good name. Just recently gave it the Shadows Over the Cradle name.

Clear Clarifications & Tagging Standards for FWC
After a recent ask, which I appreciate, I wanted to take a moment to clarify a few things regarding how the "Breeding Program" lore operates in Fantasy Worlds Collide (FWC) and Shadows Over the Cradle (SOTC), how I handle the tagging on my posts, and where my narrative boundaries lie.
The Canon Inspiration vs. FWC Reality
In Final Fantasy VII (both the original and Remake/Rebirth), Professor Hojo attempts to force Aerith and Red XIII into a confinement chamber to breed them. Hojo sanitizes this horrorshow with pseudoscientific jargon, framing it like a zoo conservation initiative to save an endangered species and preserve long-lived genetics.
Because Final Fantasy VII frequently shifts into campy, theatrical villainy, the sheer weight of what Hojo is actually attempting often gets softened by the game's overall tone.
In FWC, that camp shield is completely removed.
When you strip away Hojo’s corporate excuses, forced breeding between self-aware, sapient beings is reproductive violence and institutional abuse.
Clarifying My Tagging System: Why "Forced Breeding" vs. "Rape"
I've had a few questions about why I tag these institutional plotlines as Forced Breeding or Dubcon rather than labeling them with explicit sexual assault tags. I want to be completely transparent about my taxonomy for this project:
To me, the horror of Hojo’s breeding program goes beyond an isolated act of physical assault. It is a systematic, cold, and calculated effort to produce an heir or a weapon. It is about the loss of bodily autonomy, the mandate to produce a child, and the violation of genetic privacy. I use Forced Breeding to tag the systemic, plot-heavy concept of characters being forced into reproductive roles by Shinra.
I do not write explicit nonconsensual sexual violence on page. As someone living with C-PTSD, writing or reading graphic noncon is a personal trigger that I actively avoid in my work, even when exploring my own trauma through fiction.
The closest this project ever gets to nonconsensual dynamics on page is the dubious consent (dubcon) during the dreamscape sequences in the Mainverse, where Post-Nibelheim Sephiroth is actively breaking Bianca’s psyche. Outside of those specific psychological dreamscapes, explicit noncon will never be featured in my stories.
Mind the Dead Dove & A Palate Cleanser for the Blog
Because FWC and SOTC deal with heavy themes—including grimdark institutional trauma, psychological breakdown, cosmic dread, and corporate exploitation—I rely heavily on standard Dead Dove: Do Not Eat tagging practices.
When you see a Dead Dove tag or a heavy content warning on any article, please take it seriously. I tag meticulously so everyone can curate their own reading experience safely.
That said, because this universe can get incredibly dark, heavy, and psychologically intense, I don't want the blog to feel like a endless slog through horror.
To balance out the weight of the trauma, I will continue posting lighthearted headcanons, crack fics, AU snippets, and fluff pieces alongside the darker archive lore. We all need a breather after dealing with Shinra’s science department.
Thank you all for reading, asking thoughtful questions, and engaging with the complex ethics and character arcs of this project! Stay safe, hydrate (especially if you're stuck in the heatwave across the ocean), and keep an eye out for the next fluff drop to cleanse the palate tomorrow, brought to you by asks from two close friends.

Two. Def. Two. I love to see you answer your asks, even if I can't get to it when you tag me until a few days later. 💙
