Bitter (a tea mishap, with Taeyong)

Generally speaking, a perfect cup of matcha was something that Jimin could make in his sleep. He had been doing so for years, preparing cup after brilliant cup of frothy and lightly bitter tea. The process was long and involved, especially due to the fact that Jimin preferred to make his matcha in the most traditional way, and always ended with a steaming cup like a tiny field of pale grass.
That is, it always did when Jimin was in the right state of mind.
Needless to say, he hadn’t been in the right state of mind for a good long while now. With his twin brother having disappeared from the island without notice, Jimin had pulled away from his friends even more than before. The old adage must be true, Jimin decided: misery loves company. The worse he felt, the more bad things seemed to happen.
This was the train of thought that Jimin was on while he made a cup of matcha for one of his favorite regulars. His head simply wasn’t in it, and he ended up doubling the amount of matcha powder he was supposed to use without noticing. It would be quite the bitter shock for the one who was supposed to drink it.
When the extra strong beverage was finished, Jimin brought it over for Taeyong to sip with his sweets. “Enjoy,” Jimin sighed.
