a soft heart. extreme clumsiness that disappears the second you mount a broomstick. dreams of becoming a professional quidditch player. a pile of chocolate frog cards next to your bed. assuming the best in people. keeping your beloved cat even though you’re allergic to her. romantic muggle writers whose words you know by heart: keats, wordsworth, byron, shelley. always curled up in the common room with a book. falling in love with everyone you meet, each in a different way. getting hurt often. only feeling in control when your feet are off the ground. struggling to remain optimistic.
roger davies → you didn’t always like roger. they seemed cocky, too sure of themselves, too different from you. despite sharing a dormitory, you steered clear of each other --- that is, until third year, when you both made ravenclaw quidditch. the friendship that formed between you on the pitch soon grew strong enough that you considered roger your closest friend at hogwarts, and it’s a friendship that’s only strengthened further as the years go by. yes, you’re still very different people, but you balance each other out and you’ve learned to tolerate when roger’s being... well, roger. you know it comes from a good place.
glynis mexborough → you’ve never been friendly with many slytherins; so, when glynis started being nice to you last year, you were quite excited. you got to know them, helped them with your defense against the dark arts homework, and opened up to them. by the end of the year, you cared for glynis quite a lot, and thought they felt the same toward you. it turned out, of course, that they were taking advantage and using you to pass defense against the dark arts. this year, they haven’t even acknowledged your existence.
remy olivier → you had a crush on remy for years, and if you’re being honest with yourself, you were pretty obvious about it. they never seemed to reciprocate your feelings --- until a switch flipped back in june. you’ve been in heaven ever since. sure, the two of you haven’t talked much about what it is that you’re doing. whenever you try to express your feelings for them, they either change the subject, get really uncomfortable, or initiate sex. but you’re too wrapped up in remy to notice any red flags, too much of a romantic to consider that they might hurt you in the same way you’ve been hurt before.
