joe had been waiting a long time for this day. seeing her again. of course he'd been keeping tabs on her – in the least creepy way possible – but the moment he found out she was moving back to the states, he knew he had to reach out. try again. what he had with the other he didn't think he'd ever find anywhere else. that's how he found himself at her new shop – that he totally didn't have any link to at all and definitely wasn't a secret investor, psh, not at all – feeling nerves through his body. he opened the door and the bell jingled, walking up to the counter to see that familiar face. "good afternoon, i don't suppose you can help me out? i'm looking for someone who can help me find a dress," he said, almost word-for-word to his original introduction to her back in london. "and i've heard you're the best in the business."

Nicky had taken it upon himself to cook, a task he tended to help with but with young Nile now a part of their little family he had taken it upon himself to share his culinary skills with her, lamenting on past diets and rations forced upon soldiers like herself. 

A desire not to crowd the kitchen and fuss has led him outside and onto the stone steps of the terrace that decorates their garden of their current safe house. Twilight has set in, the sky diffused shades of pink, purple and indigo. 

“The best part of being away from cities,” he begins as he sits on the cool stone, “is being able to see those so clearly.” A gesture of his hand up to the sky to indicate towards the few faint stars beginning to dot it. As much as he admires the progress humanity has made, light pollution is an irritant. The world so constantly illuminated felt wrong somehow, the way it hid the stars until well away from urban areas a crime. “You don’t realise how much you miss them until you really get to see them again.”

"So, red, white, rosé or green?", Zendaya rose her left eyebrow, looking directly at joe's eyes. Between them there was four different bottles, the glass glowing at them. Aside of the red, the others were cold, you could see bubbles forming on the recipient. They were at Joe's, it was a first for Daya, but she felt comfortable, like they did this weekly.

"Come on, when you pick this you gonna pretty much set the tone for the night", pulling her back pack she opened it, exposing the black tshirts in it. "And then you get a wine budy shirt". @jonazjoe

Luego de que Cameron Howe le arruinara de todas las maneras posibles, primero sentimentalmente y luego echando por la borda la empresa de su suegro lo que conllevó a que su matrimonio con Sarah terminara, Joe había fundado MacMillan Utility una empresa dedicada al desarrollo de software antivirus. California había resultado mejor que Texas y el recuperar todo lo perdido en sus antiguos negocios era la meta principal. Y sobre todo se había dado cuenta de que el papel de chico bueno y queriendo asentarse no le quedaba bien él era Joe MacMillan persona temida por los vendedores de IBM, echada de menos por otros más, pero siempre con un plan para sobresalir y triunfar. La intuición es lo que le había llevado a donde estaba ahora, y era aún su arma más poderosa.

Su imponente figura se hizo presente en la sala, justo detrás de él algunos fastidiados salían de una reunión de marketing la cual Joe había alargado porque que no estaba contento con los resultados “He dicho que no necesitaba una asistente” alzó la voz para nadie en particular, pero a quien le quedara la indirecta seguramente le había llegado. Era la segunda vez que pasaba por ahí y veía a aquella señorita “Pero si quiere hablar conmigo tendrá que esperar aquí” habló de nuevo, siquiera dirigiéndose a alguien en particular, en verdad poco le importaba si es que ya había estado todo el día por ahí. Entró a su oficina sin decir nada más, quizá saldría en algunas horas o justo después de haber cerrado la puerta, no era algo predecible.
