minkyu is living out every self insert fanfic writer’s fantasy and he knows it. with the constant knowledge that he’s being filmed, he’s managed to contain himself to a happy simmer, smile nearly always present but little other outward showings of his excitement. it’s only when he spots ingrid -- someone he gushed about his high hopes to -- that he simply cannot refrain anymore. with a gleeful shout of her name, he unleashes all his pent up energy in a few bouncy strides as a grin overtakes his lips. it’s with a breathless giggle that he flings his arms around her in an embrace that’s maybe more friendly than their single conversation requires but he’s feeling it nonetheless. “guess what!” it isn’t often that things go minkyu’s way; it also isn’t often that he has someone to share in his joy. perhaps going to the villa, joining the cast of this show and immersing himself in a secondary language and culture was all going to pay off after all. “i got who i wanted!” minnie singsongs. it’s maybe redundant since the coupling was very public but minkyu is still happy to share.
