Jungah’s eyes had been fixed on the Han River for a good few minutes, her mind buzzing with worry over the envelope she had recently received. It hadn’t left her mind since she had gotten it, and while she had been doing her best to distract herself there just seemed to be no way to escape what she saw. It was a nasty reminder.
“Hey! Earth to you.”
Sera saved her from her own thoughts.
“Sorry.” Jungah cleared her throat, looking down at the little picnic in front of them. She should really focus on how nice the weather had been getting lately and enjoying small moments like these. “I just got lost in my thoughts.” Held captive in her memories. Something like that. Regardless, she had no excuse for not paying attention. Normally, this wasn’t an issue. She just wasn’t put together these days. “What were you saying?” She reached for her water, no longer feeling hungry at the sight of the spread they had before them. Unscrewing the cap, she listened to the air that hissed out from the bottle of sparkling water and took a sip, waiting for Sera’s answer.
her body shifted slightly to the weight of her head as she cocked it to the side, staring at the other gaze off into the distance in deep thought. sera was almost in awe at her lack of concentration, considering the fact that there wasn’t a moment where jungah was never not focused at all times— at least to her own knowledge. sera huffed, a small strand of hair flowing with the direction of the air, giving way to her vision. clearly something was on her mind…. something troubling. she could tell.
she sensed it.
it gave her a weird vibe. it made her uncomfortable, and had sera not snapped her out of it any sooner, she was afraid the anxiousness that bubbled at the pit of her stomach would finally burst.
“Sorry. “I just got lost in my thoughts.”
yeah. no kidding.
“What were you saying?”
grunting softly, she straightened her posture and crossed her arms, her eyebrow slightly raised at the other as she downed her bottle of sparkled water. sera pursed her lips and simply shook her head, signaling that it was nothing important, and instead, had become more focused on the fact that her friend had not once touched her food. the corners of her mouth fell to a small frown.
"..... are you not hungry?"
