a plot where two people were each others firsts as kids/teenagers. they were obviously each other best friends and loves. then war happens and their families are on two different sides. they’re forced to be seen as enemies. they’ve been separated for years but the war is over. both have lost so much. but now they’re in the same place again. how do they feel about each other?

muse a is a waitress/waiter that's been working at the same diner since high school. they always serve muse b, who is a private investigator/detective. one night, muse b brings in some of their files to the diner, hoping for a breakthrough about a murder/missing persons case. muse a happens to know the suspect. muse a also happens to be a true crime enthusiast. muse a promises to help muse b ONLY if they can tag along. it would be dangerous but muse b is really stuck on this case...and they don't want it to go cold. idk i think this could be cute. cue danger, cue late night crime boards, cue drunken rants about the suspect, cue discovering clues and ahhhh. maybe one night, their hands touch....and oh
i have an out there plot ! it would be a period setting.
muse a has been in the princess/queen’s service for as long as she can remember. they’ve been a loyal handmaiden despite being mistreated. muse a is meeker and kindhearted.
muse b is a hard working gardener/guard/stable hand who is fed up with the royal family and the way they treat their staff. muse a manages to calm their anger every time. one day, the crown prince gets so angry at muse b, that he is beaten nearly to a pulp. The usual calm and kind muse a decides at that moment that the royal family has to go.
Basically two servants try to secretly plan to kill their bosses without it leading back to them. They can be friends or lovers or strangers or whatever.
It can turn out great or be a tragedy in the making.
