the sound of soft yet clear beeping was the first thing the girl managed to hear, the fingers on her right hand moving just slightly. although enough that if someone were to pay attention, they would notice she was awake. but it hurt to open her eyes, head full with thoughts & memories of what happened...she felt like shaking, was she shaking? maybe not, but she knew she was sweating. a small gasp almost inaudible leaves her once jirou finally opens her eyes, although closing them just as quickly --- the bright lights of the room definitely being the reason why. where was she? she knew it wasn’t that bright in that damn forest, actually it was so dark back there, almost not noticing her friend reaching out to help her. koji....were they alright? the musician knew it was....a big scare, even for herself --- she remembers losing consciousness, apologizing for not being able to stay awake more time & help them stay calm --- & she doesn’t want to imagine what the other could have felt.
so she opens her eyes again, slower this time around as to not immediately close them like before, & now things made more sense --- a hospital. she was in a hospital, the beeping being from the machine attached to her. that made her calmer, for sure. although when she looked to the side, the machine could tell the exact second her heart began to race slightly. koji, they were there beside her, sleeping....had they stayed with her since the accident? or were they just there by chance? either way, jirou wasn’t well enough to move much, not even speak just yet. although her earjacks were pretty much active, a bit erratic perhaps because of the medicine she supposed had in her system. but still, it was better than nothing she thought, as she tapped carefully on the other’s shoulder, hoping they would wake up she felt slightly alone at the moment, but wouldn’t let anyone know so. // @mxnymuscs.
