i'm 100% for criticism of bloodymary and how so many fandom goers would rather hack together a crossover solely to ship 2 conventionally attractive men vs shipping Grace with a rock, a Black man, or even (god forbid!) simply enjoying a thing without shipping at all. but i'm also seeing a ton of people call Grace/The Iron Lung Guy a generic white boy ship and i think it's important to point out that Markiplier isn't white. like i don't even follow the guy but i still know he's talked about growing up being bullied for being Korean and developing internalized racism as a result. we can talk allonomativity and racism in fandom without erasing that (we should probably add the fact a real human man is being whitewashed for shipping to the conversation tbh!)

Edit: i don't care why you ship bloodymary but not gracecarl. at no point in this post did i ask why people are shipping bloodmary instead of gracecarl. you do not need to justify to me why you ship bloodymary but not gracecarl. this post isn't about the popularity of bloodymary vs gracecarl, it's about how i think that perhaps people should not call Markiplier white maybe. if you want to debate the reasoning of shipping bloodymary but not gracecarl plz go find a post about that because i'm talking about the whitewashing of real human man Markiplier. also! i believe it perhaps says something about you if you feel the need to defend liking one ship but not another on a post that's not even about that!

i'm beginning to think the Swansea is devs' favorite character and i love it so much. they made him an official dance playlist on Spotify, there's an achievement for letting yourself be axe murdered 10 times in a row called "The Good Ending", his keys in your inventory could've totally been just a normal picture of some keys but they put in the extra effort to give him a silly swan charm, he gets multiple epic speeches, there's an entire character dedicated to hyping him up, they posted a video of him twerking Jimmy to death. mark my words they're going to turn him into a marketable plushie any day now

hey so AZ is using a cane now and first thought is "oh ok he's an old man. totally normal he'd be using one"

AZ has had the same knee brace since introduction. and he's immortal so presumably his health has remained the same, possibly with a healing factor, this whole time

the shapeshifter fight is sooooo much fun for character dynamics and i wanna zoom in on Laios and Chilchuck in particular. when Laios is doing a headcount before Marcille casts light is one of the notable instances of him firstnaming Chilchuck, something very uncommon for non-family members to do in half-foot culture. the rest of the encounter then goes on to shed light on why that's the case

Laios not remembering the specifics of everyone's gear is somewhat played for laughs but besides that Scarfchuck is the one that most consistently looks/acts like the actual Chilchuck

both Scarfchuck and Realchuck look the same age and get properly grouchy. Marcillechuck looks younger than Realchuck but not by a lot (it's mostly that he still has youthful hope in his eyes) what does set them apart is his behavior

Realchuck gets to work right away. Marcillechuck is in need of help (and willing to admit it lol) + immediately after this the Marcilles and Senshis start babying their cute and friendly Chilchuck. we know he hates getting the infantilizing treatment but Marcillechuck puts up with it without much of a fight. yeah Laios is still suspicious of Realchuck's canon ornery attitude, but at this point he's still considering the possibility that the fakes could be intentionally playing up their behavior

Laios may not be able to tell the difference between a neck warmer and a scarf, but his mental image of Chilchuck is consistent with what Chilchuck really values: being treated as an adult

so throughout Dungeon Meshi Thistle is trying to find Delgal. that's explicitly why the red dragon exists

but Thistle isn't just looking for Delgal, afterwards they're going to do something together. by this point Thistle is too far gone to remember what exactly that is, but it's important enough to him that the desire hasn't fully been devoured

in Thistle's house he has everyone's bodies set up around the family dining table. this is very likely the exact same table from his flashback since just behind Delgal you can see an identical hearth, log stacks, and tree painting in the present day home. Thistle is very into keeping things preserved after all

in fact the dining table is so important to Thistle it's one of the last things he remembers as the Winged Lion eats the last of his desires

after the Winged Lion eats him Thistle is left alive but fully catatonic. though the closing chapters Yaad is taking care of Thistle and trying to get him to wake up. when he finally rouses it's in response to hearing the Golden Kingdom kids calling for "his majesty" (Laios) to come eat with them

CONCLUSION: Delgal was late for dinner. after Thistle found him they were going to have a nice family dinner, just like they had been doing for decades
