A tragic background element that doesn’t get focused on a lot is how young a lot of the OPM characters are. Child emperor is ten. Ugly is implied to be a middle schooler, according to his uniform.  Lily is fourteen. Blue is sixteen. Metal Bat is seventeen. Garou is eighteen. Genos is nineteen.  Amai Mask,  Iaian , Fubuki, and assumedly P girl are graduating college age.  Saitama, Mumen, Okamatchi, Tatsumaki, and King are on the cusp of middle age.   All this really emphasizes how desperate the situation humanity is in.
