result - 2: all over kiss ( ♡ tahhden )
it was like drinking in the stars of the cosmos. a feat too big for her to do all at once. her black eyes could only look at him one piece at a time. to analyze his beauty, record it for future reference when she was lonely and falling in love with each atom as she documented him. she came to realize that his entire make up was built from the strands of black holes and of the dust clouds that circled gas planets. each part moving flawlessly to keep the balance of the universe. the dust colored hair that haloed around the crown of his head, wispy in that it moved with just a twitch, was the beginning of her cosmos. and she always yearned to reach out and go back in time. tangle her long fingers in the curly locks. the color of his hair like copper, a precious metal that she wanted to covet. to gather in her hands and smell the metallic scent that meant treasure.
because peter quill was a cache of treasured gems.
and now her fingers ran desperately through his hair, pulling him close and pressing kisses to his temples, sensing the rush of red blood in his veins. lips trailing down the side of his visage, peppering her lips along his jawline. his scruff rough against them but, d’ast, she had loved the feeling. hating when he shaved off the small hairs on his chin. the girl pulled away moving on in the timeline of the universe. when the big bang had been the only evidence of life. and his eyes had exploded before her. verdant orbs like the deep seas of his earth. that so expertly hid the vibrant life underneath, clouding his thoughts underneath heavy eyebrows. but there were moments when that life sprang to the surface and she looked at him in awe. green eyes shining with the light of sun. gently, her fingertips eased his eyelids down, hiding the light to protect her eyes. and she placed one kiss on each eyelid, the softest skin she had ever felt moving underneath her lips. when she pulled away, she told him to open them again. because she could never give up looking into his eyes for long.
her lips curled into a smile, giggling in response to his own grin. her nose tickled his, the tip of hers meeting the tip of his and she shook her head to run it left and right. the feel of their sensitive nerves colliding making her laugh. she had been laying on his belly, arms resting on his chest, legs bent upward and crossed at the ankle. she felt the air move in and out of his lungs, heard his heart beat start to match with her own. and she felt at ease. at ease in his arms because he was her home. he was her sun. shining his golden light on her and making her gleam with something that was good. with him, she was not a weapon. she was not a killer or an assassin. her rank as a galaxy class killer meant nothing to him. her name was simply nebula. and to him, she was the girl he loved. her hands cupped his cheeks and kissed the cleft in his chin before meeting her lips with his, kissing him until she couldn’t breath anymore. running her top lip against his bottom one and feeling his breath on her nose.
❝ mmm, why do you smell so nice ? ❞
it was a question that slipped from her easily. voice husky and tired, slightly distorted by her cybernetics. her place of comfort was with him and she was not afraid of losing the veil she carefully put on everyday. she nuzzled her nose into the crook of his neck, smelling the pine scent of his soap. an outdoors smell that reminded her that he was human. no other species could smell like a forest and still smell so comforting. like wood crackling in a fireplace and falling leaves balancing on the tip of your nose. every time that he had showered, she would wrap her arms around him and inhale the scent, moist skin newly fresh of soap. but now, only a remnant of that remained and she clung to it. a small contentment that she would enjoy while she was with him in this way. the rough hairs of his chin still scratching against her tender flesh, she moved on in the timeline of the universe. to where life began. the first little blips of life living in the small crevices of the earth. her lips grazed against his neck, trailing her staccato kisses to the swell of his chest. bare skin pressed against her mouth.
she let out a small sigh of pleasure, shifting from one side of his chest to the other. her finger tips brushed across his collarbones then moved downward, counting his ribs with just her blue digits. she felt his life underneath his skin. the organs that kept him alive, the heart that pumped ceaselessly, stirring in between the movement of his lungs. this was the beginning of life. the entire tragedy of the universe had been for this moment. the exploding atom that created the big bang and the colliding planets had only occurred so that it could create the man that she would come to love. to feel his warmth underneath her as it transferred and spread across her own cold body was to feel the universe underneath her finger tips. and having the entire cosmos adore you was like being cocooned within a cloak made of stars.
and, d’ast, was he a star.
a star made of devouring flames. a sun thats wildfire licked at her skin and left traces of his glow all over her body. there was no mistaking that he wasn’t hers. because he had branded her, marked her in the most intimate way. and she had wanted to do the same. her lips passed his ribs, a single line of caresses moving down his abdomen. her hands trailed down his arms until she reached his hands and she took them in her own, bringing them to her lips. she kissed his palms, breathing in their scent. then kissing all the way up to his finger tips. her eyes met his and she saw the stars again, the sky breaking the surface of his green eyes. was he happy, she wondered. was he happy with her ? did he smile when he thought of her ? did he think about her when she thought of him ? oh, she hoped for. begged for. needed for him to love her the way she had cherished him. because she thought she would shrivel with out it. she would fall from the sky and never feel the warmth of his light.
but in this moment, she had her sun.
and she reflected his fluorescent glow with the pigment of her skin. they belonged together and neither could live with out the other. and in between them lived a life. because this was where the universe of the past met its future. where life broke from being single celled. and trees grew towards the sky. where waves broke upon the sand and tasted the land. he was the beginning and the end of the universe. and she was there to witness it all.
and with her lips, she sampled the star dust that he was made from.
