Nisfu Sha'baan.
One of the best nisfu sha'baan ever!!! This year I got the chance to spend my 14-15th sha'baan wid my cousins in KL. I was so lucky in spending the whole of yesterday's night in dhikr, Nafil prayers, and reciting salawats! We kept Ourselves awake till fajr & sahur together! Masha'allah doing good deeds in a group is always a blessing! Alhamdulilaah may the almighty accept everyone's dua that is of benefit of theirs!
The Importance of 15 Shabaan
Both the night and day of the 15th of Sha‘ban are very special times due to various events that have occurred on this day, including the following:
1) This is one of the Nights of Power (Laylatul Qadr) and it is on this night in which the sustenance and the life span of everyone is written down, just as it has been mentioned in many ahadith. It some of the narrations it has been mentioned that, Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) has decreed this night as the Night of Power for the Ummah of Islam just as He decreed the Night of Power (in the month of Ramadhan) for the Messenger of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny). By examining this ahadith we see that there is a difference of dates (for Laylatul Qadr) which result in the Night of Power being more than one night (both during the month of Ramadhan and on the 15th of Sha‘ban), however the best way for us to understand this is to say that there are various levels of decrees (Qadr) with Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) which may explain why there are various Nights of Qadr.
2) This is also the night in which the special Ziyarat of Imam al-Husain (peace be upon him) should be performed (there is a specific Ziyarat to be read on the 15th of Sha‘ban) since in addition to the Angels, 100,000 Prophets (peace be upon all of them) also visit the Imam on this night and this event as well shows the importance of this night.
3) This is one of the times where we have been encouraged to stay awake the entire night in worshipping and servitude to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) which has a great reward such that we can say that there is not a single night whether it be the night of Qadr or otherwise that is equivalent or greater than this night for worship.

15 Shabaan
Hello my lovelies. It's been forever since I posted something on my blog, and so I thought I'd make a post on one of the most important nights of the year.
15 Shabaan, also known to many as Shab-e-Barat, is the auspicious night on which our last Imam, Imam Mahdi atfs was born :)
Imam Ali (a.s) relates from the Prophet Mohammad (a.s) that the 15th of Shabaan is a highly virtuous night and the believers should spend this night offering prayers and should observe fast on the following day. Verily during this night until dawn Allah(swt) inquires Malaik (angels) - is there anyone who repents his sins and I forgive him/her? Is there anyone who asks for increase in earnings (Rizk/Rozi) and I grant so.
One must stay awake the entire night, and do Amaal. I saw the list of amaal and almost had a heart attack because the list was huuuuuge, but it is said that if you do the amaal, your past and future sins will be forgiven if you truly repent them. You don't have to do every single amaal on the list, but you have to spend the night in worship until Fajr, and even that will be more than enough.

15 Shab'aan
15 Shab'aan is the day our last Imam, Imam Mehdi (atfs) was born. It is a very holy night/day.
The Holy Prophet (sa.) had said that during the night of 15th Shaba'an the Almighty takes decisions in the matters of sustenance, life and death and welfare of the people. Next to the “Night of Qadr” the night of 15th Sha’baan is the most auspicious night (also known as “night of Baraat”). According to the Imams Muhammad bin Ali Al Baqir (as.) and Jaa’far bin Muhammad As Sadiq (as.) Allah swt has promised to fulfill every legitimate desire put forward to Him tonight. During this night Allah (swt) bestows on HIS people from HIS bounty & forgives them out of HIS grace & generosity .Of the blessings of this night is that ,at the dawn of this night ,was born the Leader of the Time Imam Mehdi (atfs) in Samarra -Iraq in the yr 255 AH .
