Quỳnh follows the line of her hand, looking for something, for anything, to tell her what Nile could be seeing. She sees the flicker of something at the corner of her eyes, the grey of impure steel and the inky blue-black of the deep sea where Quỳnh used to fish with her family.

The glimpse of pale skin that Quỳnh can see is less surprising for the shade and more for the lack of blood on those high cheekbones. The crown that Quỳnh manages to see is dark and spiked, glimmering menacingly, as though it were a predator waiting to ambush an unsuspecting hunter.

The woman’s eyes are intent as she looks straight across the battlefield, straight to Nile. Quỳnh moves to pull her sword, watching the woman’s gaze slide to her, staring intently. Her hand lets go of the blade, struck by the face that has haunted her dreams for years since childhood.

Self-rec! Mythology is one of my favorite things ever and to translate that into this fic was an absolute joy and a labor of love. I’m most proud of how Quynh comes to change her mind as well as showing Andy finding joy in her life again. I wrote an Orpheus/Eurydice twist on a Joe/Nicky fic and knew that I wanted to write a Hades/Persephone take on AndromaQuynh.

I’ve read your fic, so let me tell you and everyone about how much i loved it because is definitely one of my favs:

The mythology is so good developed and the characters so well written! Adventure, brave and soft Quynh. Andy as the guide of the underworld, iconic! A soft guide with a big heart, tired of being alone and carrying the mounrning of humanity.  All the complexity of having that role! Quynh reminding Andy how to enjoy life again and how kind she can be in her role. All the soft andromaquynh moments. How they find a way to be together. How you write their points of view, their feelings and thoughts! Amazing! Great supporting characters with actually good storylines: Lykon and Celeste!! I love everything about them in this fic, such a good characterization. And their friendship with Andy is beautiful. And Nile, Sebastian, Joe & Nicky!! Also Quynh’s and Nile’s friendship ♥

And the art is beautiful!! So much talent!

A lovely and heartbreaking fic about Quỳnh returning to the others and especially to Andromache, while still hurting from her trauma and feeling betrayed by them. The story has great character development, many interesting flashbacks and a hopeful ending.

A really sweet romcom-like modern AU with coffee-shops, firefighters, roommates and strangers to friends to lovers! A lot of nicely thought through mutual pining, different conflicts and of course the romantic getting together. Complete in 19 chapters on ao3, definitely worth a read!

The “Partners Weekend” at Merrick Industries was a bit of a joke, and in more ways than one. Who actually had time to spend a long couples weekend with people you worked with? But Joe had slaved away too many hours at his desk to blow off his chance at a promotion just like that. Particularly when all he had to actually do for it was spend a weekend in some manor house in the English countryside with his colleagues.

Which led him to his current predicament: Who of his friends would agree to pose as his spouse for four days – and at one week’s notice?

Double fake-dating AU: Joe asks Quynh to pretend to be his wife for an important work social at Merrick Industries. Andy brings her good friend Nicky under a similar guise. Only of course none of them is actually straight, and of course none of them is willing to admit that.

A dumbasses-to-lovers story.
