VIXX’s unit LR appeared at the collaboration live “THE STAR K-POP SPECIAL LIVE 2016” with Jun, K on February 1st at the Tokyo International Forum A.
They haven’t debuted in Japan as a unit, but VIXX LR held a solo tour in Japan in January. Following the end of the tour, on January 27, they released their 1st original Japanese album “Depend on Me” as the main unit, VIXX, and attained the desirable 1st place on the Oricon Daily Chart (on 1/31). During their performance, Ravi gave his thanks saying, “The album got 1st on Oricon. It’s all thanks to the fans.”
VIXX LR, who entered in chic black clothing, first gracefully sang “Remember”, which shone with Leo’s smoky vocals and Ravi’s gentle rap. It was the first collaboration live they did in Japan as a unit, so the two were feeling nervous. They couldn’t match the timing for their opening greeting and showed a rare scene by doing it over and over, and when Leo messed up speaking Japanese, he got embarrassed and showed the top of his head causing the audience to scream, “Cute-!” After introducing themselves to fans seeing VIXX LR for the first time, they performed Leo’s new song “A Difficult Thing” that was made public the first time during their solo tour. They performed not only VIXX LR’s songs, they did solo songs. Leo covered Nakashima Mika’s “桜色舞うころ (Sakurairo Mayou Koro)”, and Ravi performed “GHOST”, which could be called his representative song. They also did a self-cover of VIXX’s dance song “GR8U” with a hip hop version. They jumped off the stage and sang in the audience, greatly exciting the fans.
