Virginia Bell "… my cup runneth over …" -23rd Psalm (colorized image)
A Psalm of David.
1 ¶ The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff shall comfort me.
5 Thou shalt prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; thou hast anointed my head with oil; my cup is running over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will rest in the house of the LORD for ever. — Psalm 23 | Jubilee Bible (JUB) Jubilee Bible Copyright © 2000, 2001, 2010 by Life Sentence Publishing, Inc. Lorne Greene reads the 23rd Psalm
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Psalm 23:6 KJV
“To be ‘saved’ means to be ‘made whole“ or ‘recovered/restored to health.’ So the journey of salvation is one of recovery. I aim to recover from the ailment of fragmentation, both within myself and of myself from other people and from God. I make this journey not on my own, but with the help of those more experienced, in the great ‘communion of saints’ that is the Church.”

Psalm 23:2
The Lord—Our Shepherd
1 The Lord is my Shepherd. I will have everything I need. 2 He lets me rest in fields of green grass. He leads me beside the quiet waters. 3 He makes me strong again. He leads me in the way of living right with Himself which brings honor to His name. 4 Yes, even if I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not be afraid of anything, because You are with me. You have a walking stick with which to guide and one with which to help. These comfort me. 5 You are making a table of food ready for me in front of those who hate me. You have poured oil on my head. I have everything I need. 6 For sure, You will give me goodness and loving-kindness all the days of my life. Then I will live with You in Your house forever. - Psalm 23 | New Life Version (NLV) New Life Version Copyright © 1969 by Christian Literature International.
