I love Raven. There's nothing she can't do, wisecracking all the while. She's a problem-solver who thinks on her feet and can improvise her way out of any situation. And even though her romantic subplot is pretty standard-issue, she rises above it by not hating Clarke for having her boyfriend's heart. Octavia, on the other hand, is the female character who takes the fall to ensure that there's always romance going on. From Adam (oh, excuse me--Atom, this is a CW show after all) to Lincoln, her personal motivation tends to be hooking up with the hottest available guy. Which is okay. On television as in life, it takes all kinds.
