it genuinely makes me so happy that i am not the only one obssessed over the Tales of Arcadia franchise (minus the movie)

i thought i was one of the few fans left until i made an account on tumblr and realized that the fandom is still very much alive and active! i'm VERY happy about that!!

There is SO MUCH nasty generative A.I rampaging the Tales of Arcadia fandom at the moment and my honest unfiltered opinion is that if you feed your absolute favorite show(s) to soulless A.I that so many creative, talented, skilled, people worked on across FIVE YEARS, you are automatically a fake fan in my eyes. you can't just look at such work of art that the franchise is: the storytelling, the characters, the visuals, the writing, the art, the beauty of it all and then help A.I models STEAL that hard, long, thought out, work & still talk about how much you love Tales of Arcadia and how you're SUCH a big fan, I understand if people are unaware of the harsh environmental impact generative A.I has and should be educated so they can stop but if you are aware of how harmful and soulless it is and simply do not care, you are a fake fan. This obviously does not apply to ones who may have used it in the past unaware of how bad it is, stopped, and changed as people but still.

(side note because it's VERY important; I've seen a lot of the A.I usage in this fandom be of sexualizing the MINORS in the franchise which isn't okay whatsoever, those are CHILDREN. I do not care if the person asking the A.I to do that is a child themself it's still wrong.)

new tales of arcadia au series is on its way that i’ve been drafting for the past few months!!

i just posted a prologue on ao3 called A Brief Recapitulation of Arcane History and Lore to set up the main stuff, but it’s tailored almost exactly to the actual show since i used the fandom wiki to check it over so feel free to use it as a starting point for your own fics :))
