Sam and Dean are in the back of the Impala as John drives as fast as he can back to the motel. Dean’s leaning in close, whispering in Sam’s ear.
“I love you so much. Sammy, please. We just found...please, Sammy, I can’t lose you now. He kisses Sam quietly on the neck seconds before John drapes his arm over the front seat.
“How’s he doing, Dean?” his voice is panicked.
Dean grabs Sam’s limps fingers and intertwines them, just and they had been earlier this morning. He squeezes gently and closes his eyes. It takes him a moment to answer.
“I don’t know Dad, he’s breathing, but it’s really shallow. He’s out cold and won’t wake up. And - his f-face and...chest are really bad. Cut up and bruised -”
“Dammit -” John turns around and wipes his face, pushing harder on the accelerator.
Dean cradles his brother and holds him close through the jolting of the car as he kisses his hairline.
I’m here, Sammy.” he whispers.
There’s nothing but silence.

I LIVE IN INDIA AND OUR PRIME MINISTER HAS ASKED EVERYONE TO STAND OUTSIDE AT 5 O’CLOCK TODAY AND CLAP. CLAP FOR ALL THE DOCTORS, NURSES WHO TREAT PATIENTS THAT HAVE CORONA CLAP FOR ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ARE STRUGGLING BECAUSE OF THIS VIRUS AND ITS 5:12 AND I’M HERE AND PEOPLE ARE STILL CLAPPING. I SEE SO MANY FAMILIES STANDING ON THEIR BALCONY APPLAUDING FOR THEM. WE WERE SUPPOSED TO DO IT FOR 5 MINUTES YET THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE HERE. I DIDNT THINK ANYONE WOULD REALLY DO IT YET HERE I AM PROVEN WRONG AND I AM SO PROUD. SO PROUD THAT I LIVE HERE AND THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO CARE AND APPRECIATE ALL THE WORK THAT HAS BEEN DONE
