His name sounds dangerous and suspicious to some, but Nassim Nicholas Taleb has nothing to do with the Taleban, terrorists or any other variety of Islamic fundamentalism. He does, however, frighten the bejesus out of Wall Street pundits. Taleb's thinking, of course, is dangerous and subversive. He challenges our epistemic arrogance. He pulls the curtains aside so we can have a good look at the true state of things

And it's not so pretty to see how impotent, limp old men are fumbling around in the dark with reluctantly willing young women.

Former associates of Lehman Brothers are rumored to have made death threats against him in the late 90s due to his bold forecasts of Economic disaster - forecasts which turned out to be frighteningly accurate.
