“You’d catch me anyways.” Yae huffed slightly at how easily you ignored her attempts to tease you.
She pets the top of your head with a chuckle. “Well, luckily for you there’s nothing that would be more important to me than you, so I suppose you’re not wrong. Regardless, that’s everything I need to do today done. Fancy a lazy day off?”

The traveler had been having a rough morning. The three commissions they had already completed were all frustrating (they hated transport balloons more every time they saw one), and the fourth one was at the Grand Narukami Shrine. If fate had been kind to them they would’ve just used the teleport waypoint; but no it had to be broken; so they had to climb the whole mountain. Upon finally getting the many fortune slips that idiots people had thrown atop the shrine, (the shrine maidens really should put up a sign or something), they noticed something out of the ordinary.
Recognizing what, or rather who, it was, they quickly covered Paimon’s mouth before she could blow their cover, skillfully whipping out their Kamera at breakneck speed.
When Yae Miko visited the publishing house next, she was not expecting to see a photograph on the noticeboard. Among the many city announcements, pleads from the fire brigade about the youngest Nagonohara causing safety hazards, and many duel requests to Kujou Sara from Arataki ‘the enterally changing nickname’ Itto; was a photo of a small pink fox curled up under a sakura tree, a cat resting next to it peacefully. The picture was simply captioned ‘dream came true’. Who in Teyvat would- oh. Oh. So it was them! Why that little- she was supposed to be the crafty one here! The Miko huffed, already plotting how to get her petty revenge on a certain world-trotting blonde.
The traveler didn’t return to the Grand Narukami Shrine for a while after that.
