Binnington is so complicated. Cause imagine being one of the sole, if not considered the SOLE reason your team reached stardom— the reason that the blues are engraved on the cup.
Then just watching your team COLLAPSE around you over the span of 4 years. Completely destroyed. And then taking the blunt of the blame, even when you, and this hurts my soul to say as a Binnington hater— played just as good as before.

looking at the stats you can see that his save percentage and goals against are significantly worse than in 18-19 but, and i hate to say it since i love these guys, the rest of the team is worse as well. sure, his stats are worse, but he also played literally twice as much this year as he did in 18-19??? and i think he has the statistical misfortune of having a fucking crazy insane amazing rookie year that he’ll never be able to live up to.
i always say that the 18-19 blues cup run basically ran on hope and dreams and the power of gloria. and that’s just not something this team has anymore.
