I'm so tired-
My PCP was concerned at my last physical that I was showing signs of sleep apnea/sleep disorder.
Blood test that same day indicated that was likely and I was referred to a sleep medicine specialist.
Specialist went oh shit yeah you do, but we have to do an official test to determine best treatment options.
The specialist really encouraged me to do an in office sleep study, the most data and most accuracy etc etc, and I was on board. Let's do this fucker once and thoroughly yeah?
Insurance said, hmmmmmmmm we don't think you need an in office sleep study. That seems excessive.
So the specialist scheduled me for a take-home sleep study, which because of holiday nonsense, I ended up rescheduling.
My insurance is now saying they don't think I need the at home sleep study either.
Because, two doctors and blood work that indicates further testing is required - are not authority enough.
This is happening at the same time as them denying my adhd meds. The ones I take daily and have to get refilled every 30 days, and it's PAPERWORK that THEY DO that got fucked up. Because of holiday timing. They messaged my Psych when they were closed for the holiday and immediately slammed a void on my prescription.
So I'm going almost two months without meds and 4 months with an undiagnosed sleep disorder.
Because insurance.
