Fictober 2020 has come to an end.

This year the event was not quite as massive as last year, which is understandable because of *vague hand gesture* all of this. But I was delighted with the entries we had and I’m glad that so many found the spark for writing through theses prompts.

Ratings are:

E -- Explicit

M -- Mature

T -- Teen and up

G -- General audiences

I haven’t really written for an audience more than myself, so how would I go about tagging warnings for fictober posts, would it have to be every minor thing or just the major stuff?

I realize that it’s rather nebulous to say “tag for common triggers” but I think that’s part of the nature of this conversation.

I would consider common things to warn for:

Abuse

BDSM

Death

Explicit Sexual Content

Gore

Pregnancy/Abortion/Miscarriage

Rape

Racism/Homophobia/Misogyny

Torture

Suicide/Suicidal Thoughts

As a general rule, tag for things that could hurt someone if they had to read it unprepared.

I’m absolutely open for all the porn, dark fic, and kink as kink can – as long as it is tagged / has the warnings at the top. This event is not SFW or anything like that. Write it all, go as filthy, dark, and gory as you want. Or not, write sweet and fluffy, exciting and thoughtful, however you like.

But!

This is my blog and there are things that I don’t put up with here. I can’t stop anyone from writing what they want but on this blog and in the AO3 collection I’m not giving a platform to Nazis/white-supremacy/racism-glorification or some such shit. If I see that (I can’t read everything but I will skim and if anybody sees any fascism shit, tell me) I won’t promote it and I will block without second thought.

So that’s why I put that up there, so that nobody comes after me with “but you said you reblog all but didn’t reblog mine – so much for the tolerant left” because fuck that shit and I’m not fucking tolerant towards that.
