Thanks! :) #1 is definitely expected. But damn, #2 will foil my plan. I seriously need to put stuff on github one of these days. I’ll take your word for it though.

However, I will note that my freelancing career was over 100 hours a week, so anything that this cubicle job will throw at me sounds amazing.

Pacing yourself is important. If you are coding too much, read articles about it instead.

Thanks Alex! What burned me out is not so much coding, but rather two and a half insane college semesters… combined with a huge coding project.

Reading articles is a great idea. If I’m already ridiculously procrastinating, I can at least procrastinate productively!

got left behind on the subway platform today when Alex rushed onto a train as the doors closed, not realizing I was behind him and not beside him

have never seen him look so panicked & upset in my entire life as when he helplessly tried to hold the doors open with his hand before the train pulled away

refrained from being angry because he was so guilty about it by the time I got the next train. his little “I’m sorry” as he clung to me when I got off the train pretty much cleared that up.

Ultimately, it's hard to get a read on any of this Shadow of the Eternals stuff. They clearly are already working on something. And they have a playable demo set up. They are doing and saying all the right things, but their track record is attrocious. Is that _why_ they decided not to go Kickstarter, because they didn't know if they'd succeed or not, but they plan to make the game anyway? Their FAQ says as much, but who knows with Denis at the helm. I pledged (threw my money away) but we'll see!

I applaud you for the courage to pledge, and I do hope a good game will come out of this. But yeah, it feels like they’re running on their one of their  really good older games and hoping the fans will save them. But without proper safety nets or accountability like Kickstarter and Indiegogo provide, I definitely don’t feel safe tossing my money at them.
