if you didn't plagiarise maliciously, why respond so maliciously when people called it out?

and like this is not like he plagiarised arguments from dry academic texts (which would've been bad enough). these were essays that had a lot of the original writers' personalities in them. and he kept in those indicators of personality - jokes, turns of phrase, observations from their own personal experiences - and just went yeah i'll have that. i'll have my audience think that's me.

i just truly hate the way he's trying to frame it like he was making videos out of collections of other peoples' arguments to form an essay and just didn't cite people properly or 'forgot' to cite them at all 'in some cases'

there's no reason at all to copy and paste other peoples' first person essays which have their own unique writing voice and then just read em out in first person yourself unless you want your audience to think that's YOUR writing voice. i find it impossible to believe he had any intention of letting his audience know that that voice wasn't his own.

and i don't think making up random women to hate is a type of misinformation you can include accidentally and non-maliciously
