Posting a quote like this does not automatically absolve us of wrong doing. We need to be humbly aware of the fact that sometimes, maybe sometimes, WE are the ones that need to meet ourselves more deeply, and not the other person. And THAT is the heart of clarity AND healing. The ability to introspect precedes becoming a healthier, more evolved version of ourselves. The ego is a trip. I've seen this particular quote on so many different people's Facebooks and Instagrams and Tumblrs and Pinterests. Some even going as far as not to credit the source— Matt Kahn—and pass it off as their own thoughts. When did we become a society so caught up in appearances? It's becoming an insatiable obsession. But, we can check ourselves before we...you know the rest. Of the many posts I saw with this particular quote, they all had a common need to be right or play the "victim" in the context of what this quote is talking about, and failing to see the bigger picture of how this goes both ways.
