Hallo! As many of you know, I lived in Germany for a year while I was a student, practising my German skills. I missed my family and boyfriend (who is now my husband), but I met some awesome people and just loved the culture! I still read German books to try to hold on to my language skills. I've recently translated "Delly Duck: Why A Little Chick Couldn't Stay With His Birth Mother" into German and really enjoyed it, but to make sure it's perfect, my wonderful German friend, Sarah, has checked that the wording is just right and that it sounds appropriate for the age level of the book. Ducks were a very special part of my year in Germany. Whenever I felt homesick, I went to feed the ducks in Bamberg. Somehow it helped! I've just found this picture my sister took of me feeding the ducks in Bamberg when she came to visit me!
