oh i have many! i think when he first got out of prison, robert found the amount of pop culture he’d missed out on genuinely overwhelming, but now he’s enjoying catching up. he’s a big fan of olivia dean (obviously) and he’s been enjoying listening to all the taylor swift rereleases but he’s been really enjoying sabrina carpenter and vic is both enjoying and sick of all the cheesy pop (vic is an emo music girlie at heart and that’s my hill to die on). the first time he’s got money to spare, he buys himself a new kindle and starts reading again and is very determined to catch up on the six years of books he missed out on.
he runs cold. very cold. that’s why he’s always in so many layers of T-shirts and jumpers and jackets and it got worse, in prison, because it was never warm enough in there. one of the first presents vic buys him when he gets out is an electric blanket and robert is obsessed. they do secret santa with team #farm and matty gets him those reusable hand warmers you stick in your gloves and it’s kind of the best present ever.
he likes to draw. robert is always doodling on scrap paper and he loves when harry wants to draw with him - robert draws outlines of pictures, and harry colours them in, and it’s always the highlight of roberts day.
he’s a decent baker all round - but aaron would argue robert makes the best brownies on planet earth. they can never tell vic that, though. she’d be furious.
he always finds it quite hard to wake up - aaron is the morning person of the two of them, and robert is always slow to move, but he doesn’t mind when he gets to curl up in bed and watch aaron get ready for the day. it’s a good deal.
robert is secretly an equal opportunity animal lover - cats, dogs, cows, the works - but he’s got a soft spot for the lambs and so lambing season up at the farm is his favourite time of year. closely followed by those quiet afternoons where he and moira sit with a cup of tea and chat - she’s become one of his closest friends and it’s one of the things robert enjoys the most about being involved in the farm.
bernice used to make him come in for pedicures when she needed someone in for training purposes but robert secretly loves it and likes to treat himself to a pedicure every now and then. he and kerry were always sort of vaguely pals but now they get drunk and do face masks and bitch about their lives and robert loves it very much.
robert is the little spoon. obviously. aaron loves it because it makes him feel as though he’s protecting robert from the big bad world. and there’s nothing better than a sleepy, pliant robert sugden who wants to be cuddled.
