Pounding feet against court floors.

Nine.

Two sticks smashing into one another at high speed.

Eight.

An exy ball popping against court walls; the mad scrabble to catch up from both sides.

Seven.

His rabbit was faster. He was always faster.

Six.

Kevin was waiting for the pass, and just like practice, they executed it flawlessly.

Five.

A clean interception.

Four.

Stick checks and near fouls.

Three.

Running faster than he ever had before.

The ball leaving his net in a swift arc.
