So the 100 is coming back and I decided to make a blog because I have the most conflicting relationship with this show and I need somewhere to vent it out goddammit. So I’m mostly going to be just ranting my thoughts once episodes come out.
Doubt anyone will ever bother reading this, but in case you do, here are my overall thoughts and opinions on the show overall:
Background:
Binged watched the series for the first time over the hiatus. It was earlier in the hiatus so there are some stuff I choose to forget.
This is the first show I have ever loved to hate-watch. Like never has a show triggered such strong emotions from me, both good and bad.
I only watched it because of Lindsey Morgan.
Which goes without saying that Raven Reyes is my fave.
Kane is also the only adult character I can say I love and, again, I think it’s because of Henry Ian Cusick.
I hate Clarke with a burning passion. I can write essays about why her character is the worst.
That is not to say that I hate Eliza. Every moment where I don’t hate Clarke I give it to Eliza’s incredible acting.
I hate the writing around Clarke. (I will probably make a meta post about this eventually.)
Everyone else falls on a scale of positive to negative indifference
I don’t ship anyone on the show (though Monty/Harper is cute) BUT
I don’t like Bellarke. Not because of any show reason, but because I am sick and tired of toxic fans trying to shove it down everyone’s throats (not all, mind you, but if you’re a Bellarke fan you know who I am talking about)
That being said, if it happened in a natural and believable way, I wouldn’t mind it. But considering this show’s depiction of couples, I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be.
If you don’t like my opinions, then that’s fine. They’re my opinions. I am making this blog to rant out my frustrations with this show that I just can’t get enough of for some reason, not to start a fight.
