If use the phrase All Lives Matter, but also say Blue Lives Matter wouldn’t the lives of police officers already be included under All Lives? It wasn’t until you felt/saw the lives of police officers of being in danger that you started using that phrase.
And that is exactly why people use Black Lives Matter. Because they do matter. That is the conversation we need to be having.
If you want America to be great, then you need to realize that it isn’t great for everyone and it hasn’t been in all of its history.
If you want America to be great, then you should do whatever you can to make it great for ALL Americans.
Everyone keeps saying it’s the media that is dividing this country, but it’s not.
We are the ones who make hateful comments towards others on social media. We are the ones who base judgements on someone based on who their political party is. We are the ones who if we don’t agree with someone, we automatically write them off.
We’re the UNITED States of America, but it doesn’t it feel like it. Everyone wants to share things about loving thy neighbor, sharing bible quotes, etc, but unless you actually live by that in your everyday lives outside of social media then all you’re doing is sharing Fake News.
Everyone wants to share quotes or use MLK as an example of how people should be protesting today, but did you ever stop and think that they shouldn’t have to be doing this in 2020. There shouldn’t be protests against police brutality, racism, and Black people having to prove their lives matter in 2020.
Yet here we are. Because while somethings have changed, it’s obvious that there is still something wrong.
NOTHING in this country will change until people start WORKING together.
Until we stop using politicians as a way to dislike others nothing will change.
Politicians of BOTH parties are guilty of not caring about us. They only look to get THEMSELVES ahead or to piss off the other party. I’m sure there are a few who actually care, but the majority doesn’t.
Until BOTH parties and every single politician decide to try and get along and actually compromise then this country will not be great.
Until we as American Citizens stop trying to pit against each other because we only see Republicans and Democrats there will not be change.
Until people are held accountable for their actions there will not be change.
Until Black Lives are truly included in All Lives Matter there will not be change.
Until everyone actually practices what they preach there will not be change.
Until people who finally stand up and fight for something when it doesn’t only affect them but does others, there will not be change.
If we are all truly God’s Children, then why aren’t you fighting for your fellow brothers and sisters who don’t look like you when they ask for your help?
And if you are, then change that.
It has to start somewhere.
