MY FIRST VOICE CLAIM VIDEO!! MORE TO COME!! these are only the few sylvari i have stories for, i have a bunch im still thinking on. 

heavily inspired by @commander-soup so credit where it’s due for the format! a funny note is that for marwyd’s voice claim, i have never played that game specifically. so. this voice was something i found by just googling ‘southern video game characters’ LMAO. all the others are characters that i either adore or they really left an impact on me.

also i never video edited in my life so this was baby’s first attempt. i also have a version for my wife’s characters that i’ll be posting tomorrow!

character match-up(s) for cyprian, mayhaps? (he/him, demisexual & queer, supposed to have been Secondborn but slept a lot longer than he should have in part thanks to Inquest fuckery, can project emotions onto others, skittish around/slow to trust strangers, capable of being both incredibly vicious and incredibly kind depending on who he's interacting with, has a protective streak, doesn't like sleeping) :) @kerra-and-company

i think aiyndreas would be a good pick to be a buddy :)

they'd both be skittish and nervous little guys. maybe aiyndreas a little more-so since he can't really formulate a spine for the life of him. what he lacks in viciousness though, he makes up for in compassion and understanding. which i think would go great with cyprian's late awakening and protectiveness, which he'd be very compassionate about and probably would be writing essays about how this effects x and y. ESPECIALLY since aiyndreas is very weak on the magic front, he would find someone who's just a bit off very relatable too him. all of his friends are powerful warriors or magic users, or important people. meanwhile he's just the lead archivist for the priory and can make really good electronic music. he's an elementalist, sure, but that doesnt mean he's GOOD at it.

i think the only part that would be a bit weary for aiyndreas would be the emotional projection, just because he already has ENOUGH emotions and he doesn't handle them well AT ALL. it would probably make him nervous that it would happen to him, or that-- because he doesn't understand the magic-- it would project his thoughts and emotions and HONESTLY he doesn't need that. he doesn't need to air out all that anxiety and baggage that rattles up in that brain of his. he's NOT ready for it.

OHOHOHOH okay!! i'll give one for each. or i'll try. i don't have too many guys entirely fleshed out yet.

🖊 MARWYD -- has some weird insecurities about the whole scarlet briar thing. they're both really similar. both sylvari. both engineers. both prodigies in a way. yet only one thing really decided their fate was different and it was that damned machine. a part of him feels a little guilty for being able to walk out of it okay.

🖊 TIYRNAN -- his favorite thing to sing is lullabies. they fit his voice the best. he likes old folk ones the most, that seem to be lost with time, and who's meaning has been completely lost. sometimes when alone in the woods, you can hear a distant hum of an orrian lullaby.

🖊 GYAEL -- makes marwyd's clothes! all of them! he's made numerous on commission for him because marwyd keeps FUCKING RUINING THEM. luckily he doesn't have much to do when it comes to being his apprentice. sometimes he jokes that he's marwyd's tailor first and the apprentice second. he. may be a LITTLE insecure about that. maybe.

🖊 AIYNDREAS -- he wishes he was marwyd so bad. he looks up to him every other day. someone with a spine. someone with a bullheaded personality. someone who could toss people to the side with ease. he wishes he could be mean, but, he's far too small, far too nervous, and far too... unimportant, he realizes.

🖊 LONG XUE -- long makes carvings of soo-won out of thicker tree branches. he's very passionate about it. however-- he never keeps the carvings. he instead returns them to echovald forest and allows nature to grow around them. it's what she would want.

🖊 TU YING -- where did he get the glasses? i dunno. it's a mystery to even the speakers he works with. some of them say he popped out the POD with those things on. he BARELY EVER takes them off. apparently tetra knows where the hell they come from, but it's almost entertaining to keep it as a mystery. tu ying plays along with this.
