Lo que sucedió con la medusa, Ali Benjamin. Fue un libro precioso, la lectura fue placentera, rápida y entretenida. El factor de la pérdida está muy presente y eso hace que la historia enganche enseguida. El libro habla sobre la amistad, sobre pérdidas y sobre despedidas, también toca mucho la culpa, el duelo y como saber sobrellevar la pérdida de alguien sin lastimarnos a nosotros mismos. Es una historia muy tierna y triste a la vez. La protagonista es una chica de doce años que está pasando por la muerte de su mejor amiga, ella quiere saber qué pasó, quiere saber porqué su amiga murió. No acepta lo que su mamá le dice, no quiere entender que a veces las cosas pasan porque sí. No quiere entender que no todas las cosas que pasan tienen una explicación lógica. Por eso es que Suzy, nuestra protagonista, se pone a investigar qué pudo llegar a pasar para que su amiga muriera. Lo que sucedió con la medusa es un relato de cómo superar el dolor, de cómo dejar ir. La protagonista, a pesar de ser una pre-adolescente, relata muy bien la situación y pese a que no quiere ver la realidad es una chica inteligente y perspicaz. Poco a poco vas entendiendo su frustración y su punto de vista. Cada uno afronta el dolor a su manera y muchas de las veces la negación es una de esas maneras. Cada persona es un mundo y es maravilloso ver cómo una persona puede llorar ante la muerte, golpear cosas, ser violento o aislarse y como otras personas, como Suzy, son capaces de buscar una razón más coherente. En busca de la verdad, nuestra protagonista termina por encontrarse ella misma. Aghh!!! I took this picture to post hours ago, but where has the time gone?!!!! . So I don't have any 🐙 books. But I have this wonderful jellyfish book to share! And Newt offered to lend a hand making sure the jellyfish stayed safe. They seem like such delicate creatures, but they can be deadly. . If you haven't read this book, I highly recommend it. It is a beautiful story of a young woman dealing with grief and guilt. You'll probably want some tissues at hand.
