Hello from an accidental long weekend! My professor was too busy yesterday, so I couldn't go to thesis lab, and today's classes got cancelled. I've been using this time off to catch up on advanced experimental methods notes (last lecture on magnetochem!) and to prepare for next week's catalysis lab.
Master's labs are different: during a Bachelor's degree you show up to a lab class and get a ready set of glassware and reagents, one prepared specifically for the exercise you're about to do that day. Now that's not the case anymore. All the lab glass is put away neatly, beakers in one cabinet, funnels in another, all the chemicals in their designated fridges. You need to plan ahead, get organized, and collect everything you think you need yourself, so that's an extra little challenge compared to doing a BSc. Fun :3
